Which class has the most frequent/best interrupts

Need to know for a raid composition I am trying to form.

So it has to be an interrupt then? We aren’t counting Blind, stuns, paralysis, aoe fears? I think it’s Shamans, Wind Shear has a 12s CD and I believe most of the other classes have 15s or more CDs.

Clearly warlocks.

(I’m kidding btw, we have no baseline interrupt lol)

shaman has best as far as I know, most often and can cast while casting heal similar to fire blast with mage.

DH has the best Interrupt hands down, because it gives them a resource and having one in the raid increases magic damage to their target.

Finding a DH that likes to interrupt on the other hand?

Since we are talking for raiding, I figured stuns or fears just wouldn’t work. It depends though. All of that you described can be a nightmare in pvp though.

Yeah but there are lesser mobs in raids that you can CC like that which is why I asked, it’s good to have clarification  Just talking bosses and nothing unusual, just want the most interrupts possible? Shammy still has my vote, Wind Shear also has a 30 yard range so any spec can do it from a wider variety of positions vs like a fury warrior or rogue. I think the DH one has some range to it as well.

Yeah, i feel your pain. Especially when people talk like we’re some kind of super class that mysteriously has simultaneous access to a wide range of things from different specs and mutually exclusive talent choices lol

I would say frost mage, rogue and paladin.

This is half true. You can use Wind Shear while casting, but it will interrupt your cast (at least for resto, ele might be different).

For a single class/spec I’d say Prot Pallies. They’ve got Rebuke on a 15s CD and Avenger’s Shield acts as an interrupt on the primary target on a 13s CD. Granted, they mind not like having to save their frisbee solely for an interrupt but it’s an option.

Edit: I forgot about Grand Crusader. They’ve got a chance to reset the CD on the frisbee so they’ve got bonus interrupts.

No spec beats Prot Paladin for sheer frequency.

They’re making Axe Toss interrupt targets it can’t stun in Shadowlands.

Which I am incredibly happy about.

That’s very true, I didn’t think of prot pallys! In theory given an ideal situation for them (dozen melee mobs) they have the most interrupts.

That is GREAT news!

Bears have two pseudo AOE interrupts. We can Typhoon stuff in front of us or Roar reset cast mobs all around us, it’s great when you need to hit multiple casters and everyone is on cooldown, force the mobs to recast if you can’t get them normally.

Yeah it is.

It always irritated me that Demo had practically every tool that was needed to be good in M+, except arguably the most important one for a ranged, a kick.

Pandaren WW Monk:

  1. Quaking Palm
  2. Spear Hand Strike
  3. Paralysis
  4. Leg Sweep

Tauren Protection Paladins would be second with:

  1. Avenger’s Shield
  2. Hammer of Justice
  3. Rebuke
  4. War Stomp

I put Pandaren WW Monks first, because their Leg Sweep can technically interrupt and stun 5 mobs at once in SL, while Paladin’s Avenger’s Shield can interrupt 3 talented.

I added stuns, knockdowns, interrupts, silences, and racial abilities. Granted, against raid bosses, half of these won’t work, but on the normies in there, these would be the most. I supposed you could add Balance Druid’s Solar Beam, but it’s on a long CD.
