Which class had the best class quests?

I originally didn’t care much about Classic, but as we get closer and closer to release I’ve grown more interested. Because quests and the world have always been the main draw of this game for me, and Classic focuses more on those than live does. So I’m looking forward to Classic now, especially because I only did it once back in the day.

But my problem is I don’t know what class I want to level. So I’m asking for opinions here: what class do you feel had the best class questlines in vanilla? What are some of your favorite class quests from back then? I only ever experienced the druid ones (which I did like), and only the one time.

Shaman totem quests. Your character model turned into Pitbull since you became Mr. Worldwide while doing them.

Druids have interesting ones, but I think the Paladin and Warlock Epic Mount quests are by far the “best” class quests. All of them were pretty enjoyable though from Rogues and their Ravenholdt adventures, to Fray Island and Whirlwind Axe quests of the Warriors.

Druid aquatic form can be annoying, but shaman totems are terrible imo.

I’d say warlock had really cool quest and just overall lore. Followed by paladin, after all who didn’t like being a holy Knight of Justice.

Warlock was very fun. Druid appears to be fun getting your shapes. I didn’t dig the totem quests personally. I hear rogue has some class ones that are interesting. Paladin I don’t know anything about but I think they had some.

is rogue even had quests?

Poisons? Not sure if anything else.

The Paladin epic mount quest was ok. It was very involved. My Pally was an alt, so I had all the mats and stuff ahead of time…

The hunter pet taming quest at level 10 is pretty exciting, because you’re getting a pet. Hunter pre-pet kind of sucks, so you’re basically an incomplete class 1-10.

I never did the warlock epic mount quest, but it seems awesome. I’m going to do it this time around.

Never had an issue with forms. The croc run in Wetlands could be annoying, but if you wanted to do DM you had fo go to Westfall.

Can’t testify to the Horde line. I rolled a Tauren later in BC and not sure if the chain was still required.

Shaman without a doubt. I traveled the known world collecting my totems. There was such a sense of pride when you earned a new one.

Warlock quests to acquire your demons was pretty cool. Can’t wait to see Tabitha again. I think that I remember a few classes end up there with Tabitha for different reasons.

Dire Maul is located in Feralas, you silly person you. :slightly_smiling_face:

It definitely is not Warrior.

You literally are told to fight a drunk guy by another drunk guy who wants more to drink. After this incredible storyline, you are given Defensive Stance, Taunt, and Sunder Armor skills.

Silly argument. There is no dungeon named VC. I killed Van Cleef in DM.

Lock quests for pets, some armor items and the level 60 mount. Great class but trying something new this time. Shaman was another great class but again, something new for me this time.

Yes, actually, VC lies within the Dungeon located in Westfall and is the final boss of that dungeon. DM is all the way over in Kalimdor, friend. :slightly_smiling_face:

Lock quests were actually hard af lol. Good luck going into the cave outside org for you voidwalker alone. That was like a 5 man quest lmao

Oh yes - Pickpocketing (the reason Gamon was in Org), Lockpicking, & poisons. I think the level 20 and 50 ones were added in later during vanilla?

Personally I liked the Shaman ones - except Air - that one was kind of a let down after the epic feel of the water one.

Yeah. Call of Air was an incomplete placeholder that they never got back to.

Every other totem quest gets more and more involved and exciting, culminating in Call of Water which sends you all over the world multiple times. Then you hit level 30, you get Call of Air, and you’re told to go talk to a guy. You assume that this is just the beginning of an epic quest and you get excited.

You talk to him. “Here’s your air totem, great work.” Questline complete.

Here’s your totem and a nice buff - if I remember correctly.

Death Knight…
