Wpvp, duels, 1 on 1 situations when partner dies. Everything I’ve heard is inconsistent. Some said WW had no counters, a 2k+ Monk said he can’t beat Unholy DK, a glad player told me DH’s hard counter monks. Since the info is inconsistent figured I’d ask here.
PS… Yes I’m aware the game isn’t balanced around 1 on 1 but more 3s. Thing is I find myself in 1 on 1 situations A LOT.
In wpvp and duels monks are not the strongest class (but still very good). In duels unholy has a good chance, in wpvp demon hunter leech on a critter is instant full hp, and in arena with a pillar monk is the king
Dk slow is absolutely insane and in my personal opinion more difficult to kite over a long period than a dh. Might get flamed for that but its ok. They also have pet kick to disrupt your healing while they walk over there
The problem with a DH in duels with pillars and stuff is that they can be easily rooted or whatever. And they can only heal if they are killing something or hitting something…outside of any consumable nonsense or traits or whatever.
Chains of ice? Fair points. Plus with DK you’re being rotted the whole time when you run away and pets are on you. Does Detox remove DK stuff? I forgot and can’t get on and look it up now lol.
WW ****s on DK really hard, and can beat DH players if they’re good enough
I find myself annihilating DK players easily if I bring disarm/ride the wind, or teb/alpha tiger, depends on how good the DK player is
DH is horrendously braindead, so no matter how bad the player is they can almost always randomly win the duel by doing half of your hp suddenly in a stun, and it’s the only class that can match your mobility consistently aside from feral druid. If a DH brings adaptation you’ll never win if they have even half a braincell. You need disarm for DH, and if they’re good you’ll need disarm/wall, if not disarm/alpha tiger
DK you should win, unless they’re both good at the game and bring lichborne/death pact
DH is 50/50, they’re all brainless and carried by gear, but the class requires 0 thought so it doesn’t matter, the biggest thing is kiting and spam healing in all of the duels, and I find myself having to put in way too much effort into outplaying dh’s to actually win the duel
I thought even with pillars Feral with better heals+mobility being same or better could pose issue, but the WW I talked to said he’s never lost to a feral?
So I main WW…in controlled environments 1v1 where I can pick my talents before I duel and assuming there is a pillar or wall near by there are essentially zero classes that can win. Hunters have a chance because of the resets they possess with trap / mending up so often, plus they can shell ToD / ToK. MAYBE a decent mage but peeling combustion is pretty easy with port.
I don’t think i’ve ever lost to a melee class other than Ret, because again they have so many resets and and ToD /ToK immunities, but even ret is a joke because they are so easily kited. Rogues, warriors, DH, DK are all a joke and even destro is pretty easy if you know how to roll bolts you can pretty much get all the damage in the world out before they can blow you up. Windwalker is the king of 1v1 because port / tigers lust are that good, their damage is pretty crazy, their defensives are top notch, tigers eye brew is busted into tanky classes, and can off heal. Reason rogues win a lot of duels is because they run and reset…if they wanna reset that fine, I just dispel poisons and top myself when they run, usually with less defensives than before. Feral stands a chance cause they can reset a bunch too.
