Which BfA dungeon is like Maw of Souls?

Everyone ran Maw 5x in Legion during mythic dungeon week as Maw was the fastest.

Which is the BfA dungeon equivalent?
Cant think of one…

Atal can be pretty quick - no random pathing like other dungeons (waycrest or underrot).

Edit to add, Tol Dagor can be really quick with a rogue or scribe for doors.

But a short run like Maw…that’s a good question.

I also want to say legion broke down certain dungeons and had different “levels” such as large or small, with maw being a small dungeon. I think it would award less AP in the weekly chest? I don’t believe there is any delineation with the current BFA mythics.

Nothing is as fast as maw was. I don’t think blizzard exactly liked people burning through in under 5mins haha

That said, siege is pretty damn short as well.

People skip to the last boss in Freehold.

As weird as this sounds, I find underrot to be a pretty fast dungeon. Besides the trash before the 2nd boss, there’s hardly any.

Is it possible to skip to last boss in Freehold and only kill that last boss?

Depending on the second boss configuration, Freehold can be pretty quick, that’s true.

Yep, it’s one of my favorites. Fairly straightforward and nothing really tricksy to me.

Not sure which one is the fastest, though there are a few I hate doing on M+.

As far as aesthetics go, I think waycrest is the closest in mood.

I wish Blizz could have gotten a dungeon-narrator who emulated the narrator on Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion ride. What jazz! Yeah, totally wouldn’t fit the lore of the witches coven brooding over it - unless narrated as a sort of guide/third person ( like the ride itself ).

They could have had a ghostly butler greet us at the door, and then reappear throughout the mansion.

Freehold is proof they still haven’t learned their lesson.

We do not need or want unskippable dialogue before a boss. It’s funny the first time (maybe) but after that it wears out its welcome. This was made perfectly clear with the (Horde) pre-Deathbringer dialogue, and the pre-Lich King dialogue as well.

Particularly while leveling. 90 seconds of dialogue followed by 20 seconds of actual boss battle? Yeah, no. The Ring of Booty is one of the worst boss encounters in years.

actually if ur talking abour MAW 5 times for mythic dungeon quest u run freehold… being a rouge and hug right side to skip 1st boss… hug right side then skip 2nd boss, skip 3rd boss… kill last bos in 3 mins oh and then go reset and repeat…but M+ gives u credit for this quest as well so why dont u just push M+ keys so u can get good gear while u finish the quest that gives anouther piece of good gear to double up ur rewards and be efficient with your gearing process?

Nothing is as quick or fun as maw.

Think my personal best was 6 minutes… was great!!!

Atal’dazar is pretty quick depending on the group. However some of the trash is annoying and the last boss can be problematic if people don’t do the mechanics correctly. Last week I was tanking in a group that wiped on that boss in an M0 because they wouldn’t get away from the boss when the adds came out.

If you have a rogue for skips Freehold is the fastest if all you want to do is the weekly quest.

Personally I think my favorite dungeon is probably Tol Dagor, though it isn’t very fast. It used to be Freehold until they made the pig spawn in a random location. That whole encounter was fun the first time, but annoying as all hell the 50th.

Maw was fun, unless you were doing a 13+ on Tyrannical week lol. That 2nd boss was a nightmare.

Freehold.

Only have to do 2 boss’s if you do the skip and can honestly get it done faster then you could Maw.
