Which affix is the worst of all times?

is it Afflicted or Bolstering?

Sanguine

Sanguine is relatively easy to deal with now as they no longer stack puddles, and you can just grab a rogue with 48% healing reduction on wound poison.

Afflicted is by far the worst due to how bad the interface around selecting friendly NPCs in combat is. Incorporeal and spiteful are a second for me due to nameplate spam and keeping the party in combat and making you “waste” your CC. Spiteful also screws over every spec with a target cap.

Incorporeal is worse than afflicted from my point of view its just a more punishing version of afflicted

Storming or spiteful. Because it’s obnoxiously annoying for no reason.

Infested or Beguiling.

For non-seasonal affixes explosive back when their HP scaled with key level.

And fortified. Don’t forget fortified.

Necrotic was pretty bad that they had to nerf it constantly for it put it a very dangerous timer to kill adds before the tank got nuked.

It was even worse in higher keys where that timer was often impossible to meet and you had to cycle through multiple cds from the tank and healer or simply just kite nonstop on nearly every single thrash pack.

And sometimes when it got paired with the other s- affixes it was even worse than that.

sanguine would be okay if:

  1. if anyone remembers the Elemental Council in Tier 11 cataclysm, where puddles merged into a bigger puddle if dropped on top of each other.

  2. if multiple puddles stacked would be a darker red or something, to indicate overlap.

it’s either multiple instances or it merged into one instance. what we had before was 'both", what we have now is “neither”.

remarkable how they found the only bad way to implement it, and then the only other bad way to fix it.

who wouldn’t like a growing sanguine pile as more sanguine is dropped into it? like a red Defile. that’d be cool.

Tyrannical.

The overlap doesn’t really matter anymore since mobs no longer can benefit from more than one instance of a sanguine heal. You can have 10 sanguine in the same spot and they will still only heal as though there is one. I believe that change was made last season.

Teeming was unexpectedly disgusting. And I always hated explosive.

I’ve always hated explosive the most even with things like teeming/overflowing/skittish in the game, quaking is a close second.

I like Spiteful the least. I can corral them with totems but they make drinking difficult.

Seasonal affix: That’s easy answer for me, it’s Beguiled. It had almost 0 counter play and you are forced to behave in a certain ways. It forced you to have certain classes and remove the creativity in the route.

Non-seasonal affix: It’s close but it’s either necrotic/old bolstering/explosive/skittish/inspiring are the closest affix for number 1. Quaking is next, it was make or break group affix because quaking can wipe a group with 0 counterplay and Blizzard had to make a lot of exceptions for just quaking. Quaking prevented you to drink for mana and ressing everyone so it slowed the dungeon down. Quaking in DF S1 was probably closest affix to them because they vomited the swirlies combined with thundering and quaking

Yeah that’s super annoying when you sit down to drink after a pull, and then one last shade decides to aggro on you and makes you stand up.

I feel the modern wow player gets hard-countered by Overflowing.
