I’m just curious what people here think. I’m gonna finish leveling my mage now with the new level squish, and I’m not sure if I should leave her as a Human F or race change to a Void Elf F (changing the skin and eyes to make her look like a High Elf).
I like the belf skin tones on my velf.
But I have to admit that human females look absolutely fantastic in-game. Better than velfs.

As much as I appreciate the new High Elf skin tones and eyes, humans got hundreds of new customizations. Until they give Void Elves more options, I suggest Human.
Look at my wizard hair and glorious beard from THREE different settings.
(My priest rocking the High Elf look for now)
Female Mage is classic to me… I love it. And the customizations only improve that.
Void Elves I do love (see my main here) and like that they added more customization options. That being said, I struggle sometimes to enjoy VE as much as the original BE. Were I to barber shop this VE, I would likely keep the lighter blue skin tone given its original design. The blue or black hair options on a BE skin tone just doesn’t do it for me.
I would go for Human Mage unless you plan to keep the original VE skin tones! But this is definitely personal preference. Can’t go wrong. 
I like my more natural skin tone and blue eyes with actual pupils.
I really thought I was going to switch back to human even though I was torn because I’ve wanted to play as a High Elf for years but then something unexpected happened. The first thing I did after the patch was hit the barbershop to get them blue eyes and non-void skin when I noticed we now have arcane eyes!!! It’s not something I knew I needed but I absolutely love it now and they perfectly match my absolutely favorite transmog set, the Mythic Runebound Regalia, which they also fixed with that patch (the color scheme had been bugged for over 10 months). Only thing that can get me to switch to human now is if they give humans wizard beards!

I like the high elf aesthetic for mage personally. Can’t go wrong with either though, both models look great

Tbh if they ever provide more options for Void Elves I’ll probably switch over.
Me and 50% of the Alliance probably.
For mage I’d probably go human rather than void elf. The tie breaker for me is Entropic Embrace. I don’t care for how it looks during the proc. I thought it looked better on Alleria in the cinematic than it does on PC characters in game.
Having said that, I do have one void elf. She is sticking to the voidy skin tones.
Makes me wonder if they purposely left out the majority of Blood Elf customizations for Void Elves so that they can just drop them whenever they decide to give the rest of the allied races more customization options. I sure hope that’s the case. I’ve been tweeting @ Ion about it, lmao. It doesn’t bother me too much for rn because I usually don’t hide my helm so it hides the atrocious hair anyway. It would be nice to use some of those Silver Covenant transmog outfits I have though. Fingers crossed.

Make a human and roleplay them as a half-elf
