Where's Varian?

Seriously, where is he in shadowlands? I’ve only played the Night Fae campaign.

I’m surprised I haven’t seen him at all, seeing how his life life was ended so abruptly. I’m still frustrated over sylvannas ditching him to be disenchanted :expressionless:.

He was killed by fel magic, which usually means that you are consumed and stop existing

I thought he didn’t go to Shadowlands as Gul’dan destroyed his body, spirit and soul… like he’s gone for good.

Garrosh had a lightning strike, and he still was in shadowlands.

He won’t be in SLs as he was destroyed by fel magic.

Fel magic consumes and destroys souls. So Varian might not exist anywhere anymore.

But even if he was in the SL we still wouldn’t really see him. His death was a pretty final one and a spectacular way for his character to go out. Bringing him back as an actual ghost kind of wouldn’t be right. Sometimes an end should be a true end.

There is a difference between someone who uses fel magic and being consumed by it. I mean I am filed to the brim with fel magic but I am in SLs.

There is no confirmation as to Varian being completely destroyed when he died. I highly doubt that happened as it probably would’ve been confirmed in some capacity at this point. Varian could make a reappearance to Anduin at some point in SL.

Lets not ruin King Chins death. He died like a boss and I would like to remember it like that.

He is one of the few characters who got a good ending.

He was transitioned to the Heroes of the Storm by the Grandmaster of All the Things at the moment of his death. The GMoAtTs is of course, the most powerful being in warcraft, Grand father of the Titans and creator of both the Light and Void.
