Where's my Leggo socket?

Just made this Final Verdict last night. A couple of weeks ago my buddy told me that if I made new leggos, they would always come with a socket now (updated on a patch or something I assume) and he was right. Made 2 leggos on my other chars, ilvl 210 and 225 and they came with a socket but this FV i made last night didn’t?

it does need to be on one of the select gearslots that SL allows to have sockets

For realzies? My leggos that have a socket are a belt and a ring.

not exactly sure what you mean by in game
but

this item says all the items that can be socketed
same exact item as the season 1 version just a diff name on a diff rep vendor

I was aware of the item that allows you to attach a socket to a piece of gear. The OP seemed to imply that making certain items would automatically grant you a socket, thereby saving the cost of buying the allow-warping item? Or did I misread that?

What I meant is, I did see references to the alloy-warping item, though only from youtubers etc. This was the first instance I heard of a item being created and having a socket by default - which is cool, but would be nice if Blizz kept us in the loop.

that is the case, the point is just that the item lists all socket-eligible gearslots. there are no slots u can get lucky sockets on or force automatic lego sockets on that are not part of that list the item also mentions

legendaries made in the current patch automatically have sockets if they are those 5 slots
