I have looted a Bismuth Lockbox that is BoE, and says it is Upgradeable. currently 1/8 Explorer.
I haven’t messed with it at all because I believe it to be one of a kind, but I’d be happy to sell it to someone who collects oddities, I just don’t know where to find the right collector…

That is weird. Are you sure it’s not a bug of the ui addon you’re using? What does it look like if you just use the default ui?
I was trying to sell it in Trade, many messages received about WTH is that and where did I get it. So I’m assuming everyone else sees it too.
have you tried trading it to someone u trust to make sure the weirdness of it stays if traded?
It goes into a trade window, but I didn’t actually let go of it in case I didn’t get it back 
It’s just a lock box. Your addon is messing with you. Have a rogue or Mechagnome above lvl 75 unlock it for you.
I promise you, it is as displayed. Everyone in Trade sees the same thing. Also, forums aren’t showing it but this character is a level 80 rogue.
Have you tested this on someone running no addons?

Everyone in Trade chat is seeing the same thing. I really don’t know how to make that any clearer. It is not just a display issue on my end.
Sorry to offend you, I didn’t realize I was holding onto commonly found garbage. I thought this was an abnormality that someone might like to have. 
It’s a lockbox. Likely a UI abnormality.
But if it isn’t…it’s still a lockbox.

Most people use addons, it could be replicating itself which is why I asked my fairly reasonable question.

According to WoWhead its a pretty common item of little importance, although the comments make it sound it can drop some powerful gear for low level characters…
