im curious if there will be a way to keep our toons since this is basically a yr long server then its over. will they just xfer to era and lose all the abilities or whats going to happen? i dont really want to sweat out r14 just to mess around for 2 months. not worth it imo

prob era+ im guessing they said they will keep the characters playable
My best guess is that they’ll create a couple realms that act as a repository for seasonal characters with legacy gear and runes kind of like PoE’s Standard servers. There would have to be some kind of disclaimer that there would never be any effort to balance it tho, I imagine.

either a retirement server that runs sod 24/7 that has run its course or they’ll spit the characters out in some random classic expansion.
They will go to the same place as all the other efforts you put into any other game in the past have gone. Forever into the abyss. It’s all temporary and meaningless. If you want persistence then do things in the real world.
