I think this encapsulates season 4 in regards to Blizzard’s choices, especially with the Slime Saber mount.

Assuming you have the gear to qualify for the group, and play at the right time of day, and aren’t a DPS main competing with 90% of the player base for a spot.
Also, I guess screw people who are differently abled and uncomfortable with normal+

I am not an LFR raider, and I have to stand up and say that I agree with the OP. It’s an awful decision to not make the slime cat available via LFR.
Nothing up until you released this information today gave any indication that it would not be available in LFR. Now, just a few days before the season starts, you drop this bomb on a huge portion of your playerbase?
low blow. This is one of the most anticipated mounts from the contest, and it should be obtainable by everyone.

Raiding with strangers for a utilitarian or mercenary goal isn’t a social endeavor.
Like, I don’t know how to tell this to people but activities that are team focused but also requiring high level of execution and focus are not condusive to socializing. It’s only a social activity when it’s low stakes and low stress, which is only really achieved with familiarity, which is not the situation anyone trying to steop above their comfort zone is going to be in for one raid tier

Because people love to be given a sense of superiority for any small reason at all, its basically ego stroking in an indirect way that they can get something that someone else wouldn’t be able to.
Why else do you think there’s so many FOMO things in the game.

I have a feeling this will be changed when people get mad. It was a mount that was a runner up for the poll (and quite frankly it’s ugly as hel.) I could understand a more prestigious mount going to normal and above, but this was supposed to be for everyone. As a heroic raider I am saying now, OPEN THE CAT TO LFR!
