I’m mean, she has time to care for Ysera, but doesnt really care at all for the Night Elfs. Does that mean Elune is Cenarian and sides with the horde? Where is Elune in the Shadowlands? Isnt she an integral part of WoW?

She was locked behind the writers wall until the end. They included some information about this in the book, basically saying that something was keeping her for directly interfering until the very end. I mean it wouldn’t have made a very interesting story if the Horde army was struck down by the a god.

Well first off the Cenarian circle isn’t Horde affiliated, it’s neutral like Dalaran’s Kirin Tor only unlike the Kirin Tor it never had a big “upset” which got one race specific party kicked out, there are several “neutral” or non affiliated sub-groups in each faction like: some Goblin cartels, the Cenarian circle, Kirin Tor (formerly) The Unseen Path, etc. Plus she did do “something” as mentioned, I blame Deus ex Machina writing or Blizzard’s poor attempts at avoiding it (only to Deus Ex Sylvanas instead ironically).

I’m guessing we’ll find out in SL that Elune wasn’t around because of something Sylvanas did. Maybe she and the jailor somehow blocked elune’s power briefly just so Sylvanas could wipe out the night elves and send all the souls to the Maw
I feel like there’s a lot more that went on in the background that we didn’t see
Could you imagine the outcry from the Sylvanas fan club if Elune just appeared and throw her the butt kicking she deserved? On the outrage around here would have been epic!

That would be epic! Or since Elune is the closest thing in WoW to a “god”, have her allow Tyrande to temporarily go god of war Kratos on Sylvanas; but I’d take either or really… I’d even take Arthas’ better half shoving her into the Maw or to the Jailer at this point.
It seems Tyrande’s and the Ardenweald’s story will have some answers in Shadowlands. One can hope, but they seems to always purposely avoid giving much info on Elune.
