All of the guides I’ve read say Nat Pagle in Duskwallow Marsh sells it, but when I click on the NPC he doesn’t sell anything at all. Is there another Nat Pagle somewhere else in the world? How do I get this lure?
Hello, I have no clue, but I’ll bring this to the top so you people can read it again. Hopefully Glinda or another forum hero will come out of retirement to rescue you… I would but I don’t fish, I fight.
Read comments on pages, too. Especially on wowhead. Lots of info isn’t 100% on a search but the comments from players will explain it to you.

This is for all mages who are looking to get their “Polymorph: Turtle” off of Gahz’ranka in Zul’Gurub and nothing more.
After I searched almost every “WoW notes” site I could find, nothing explained this questline properly. So I will:
1- In order to get Gahz’ranka to appear, you need Mudskunk Lures and a minimum of 300 fishing. You know how to get 300 fishing, and to get the Mudskunk Lures, you need to complete “Nat’s Measuring Tape”.
2- You get this quest FROM the tacklebox inside Zul’Gurub, and NOT from Nat Pagle. So, the first step is to go into ZG, open the tacklebox (at Pagle’s Point - look it up) and accept the quest.
3- Then get your butt down to Nat Pagle, located at 59,60 in Dustwallow Marsh, SW of Theramore. Hand in the quest, and then you will have access to the Mudskunk Lures.
4- Go back to ZG, back to Pagle’s Point, and attach a lure, then cast away (this is the point where you need 300 fishing). Gahz’ranka will appear after a short period, then you have fun hacking away at him.

It’s not him in dark water you want you want the one at Pagel point in Zg
actually what’s missing is that you need to fish the mudskunk pools inside the ZG instance to get 5 mudskunks to attach to the lure. then you can bait your fishing pole and fish up gaz. mudskunks can only be caught from the pools. pools can be found in the area where gaz spawns, and in the waters along that river to where it ends at a temple (of final boss) with water (and pools) all around it.
I was the gaz fisher who always had the lure for guild runs.
But they asked where the lure is, not where or how to fish up mudskunks. You can’t get the lure until you do the tacklebox quest and visit Nat Pagle.
So what? To avoid the next post “How come my mudskunk lure doesn’t work?”
