Where to get basic weapon?

Supposing that I either lost or sold my main weapon, how do I get another? I started playing after taking a long break and my main lvl 42 Orc Warrior has no weapon, and I don’t know what to do. Is there like a vendor or something I can go to that sells green weapons at my level? It seems like you need a weapon to get better weapons, but I have no weapon.

heirlooms. if no heirloom try the auction house for greens

I thought about using an heirloom but it only scales up to level 29 and I can’t afford to upgrade it yet. Which means I’m underpowered against mobs at my level.

A low level weapon is better than no weapon.

It’s either that, or the auction house.

you will also get one scaled to your level from questing. usually one of the starting chains of an exp, try chromie time.

An heirloom weapon, even if it doesn’t upgrade beyond 29, is better than nothing at all. By that time, you should be doing dungeons and chances are you will get something along the way if you persist enough. Otherwise take up Blacksmith and within a few levels you will be able to make your own stuff.

  1. You can set your timeline to Mists of Pandaria with Chromie.
  2. Then go to Pandaria.
  3. Once in Pandaria, find one of these vendors: https://www.wowhead.com/item=81673/faded-forest-combat-staff?bonus=6655

Their items should scale to your current level.

Thanks for the replies. I think I figured it out. My old weapon was a legendary from Legion and it was a weird combo item which was a shield with a sword attatched (so when you equip the shield it also equips a sword). For some reason it is now less powerful than my weakest heirloom, so I’ll just use heirlooms until I get an upgrade.

there are a few of these expansion vendors in Azeroth. Iʻm pretty sure that one is in Mt. Hyjal. there’s probably some for WoD and Legion armor sets as well

cool. I only remembered the Pandaria vendors.

I think any Shadowlands Blacksmith can put an “item” (I forget the name) that will scale any weapon down to whatever range you want it.

What you’re asking for is available. Keep looking. :slight_smile:
