I don’t need a plethora of addons, just a UI for keybinds and TellMeWhen/Weak Auras for pally CD’s and Blessing of the Season CD’s.
Anyone know where to grab them?

You can also download the WowUp program. It’s a quick and easy app to install and update things.
I highly recommend this one. Simple and reliable.
Best by far.
Curseforge for sure, i dont use much, just All The Things for Collection, Silver Dragon for Rare alerts and Tradeskill Master for knowing the AH rates for items in my bags.
oh and Handynotes is great too, especially if you want things like that Silverwing Larion.
WoWUp is faster than CurseForge. The CurseForge App is a slow pile of dog crap. There’s a big push for addon developers to put their addons on non-scummy platforms, so I think WoWUp is the way to go.
Where do you download the WoWUploader?
wowup. Curse sucks and their program does too.
Overwolf, which owns Curseforge (repository for most addons) announced that they would soon make a change to the author compensation methodology. Basically, any addons NOT downloaded through Overwolf will not count towards the author’s total download numbers. Meaning they will only get rewarded via downloads done using the crappy Overwolf addon manager.
The complete changeover is expected to take place within a couple of months — I believe February was the target date.
Totally agree with all the comments in here about the quality of other addon managers over Overwolf, but it seems — as many predicted when they bought out Curseforge — they are going the “my way or the highway” heavy handed approach.
The best addon program out there WowUp…simple…no ads…small foot print…
Bingo Curse is garbage…
Overwolf ate my homework.
TBF, you can’t blame them, it’s their bandwidth and storage being used to dl to apps they are receiving no ad revenue from.
People forget the internet isn’t free to run a site on, if a site ads are obnoxious I turn my adblocker off for that site because that’s how that site usually stays running. Curseforge app add is barely even noticeable.
Not even remotely true… it’s garbage. I used it when it first came out and even defended it on the forums. But over time it got worse and worse. Even with the ad free subscription it uses a lot of resources and loads extremely slow.
As for “it’s their bandwidth and storage” while that is true it wasn’t a problem with Twitch or the old Curse before they were bought by Twitch.
Old curse had paid premium services.
Twitch was actually going to close down the api but never got around to it. Plus, they’re an amazon company, they probably didn’t even notice the bandwidth costs of hosting them.
For the 2 minutes the app is up I’d rather use the one that gets addon devs paid.
I know I used Curse Premium for years. I still miss the old Curse Client. If Overwolf had built a good app that wasn’t bloated and slow more people might use it. Unless WowUp shuts down I won’t touch CurseForge again.
As for addon devs getting paid I support that but not at the cost of using CurseForge.
To each their own.
They aren’t shutting down the pipeline to WoWup, but you’ll probably see less addons since its up to the devs whether they allow on third party programs or not
