Where the heck do we get weavercloth as a tailor?

SUPPOSEDLY it is supposed to drop for tailors, but as a tailor on my warlock I’ve had 14 pieces drop in an entire day’s worth of WQ, delves, dungeons, and more… I really am stumped here. Anyone have suggestions?

Ive been farming cloth for a week & literally 3 pieces have dropped its ridiculous.

To get a noticeable boost in drop rates, just throw 30 points into the Textile Treasures specialization.

Cloth rates are abysmal even if you spec for finding more. Miners get more cloth from the webbed nodes scattered everywhere than tailors do. You’d be better off grabbing mining/herb on an alt and just selling the ore/herbs and buying the cloth lol

Yeah, heh. My cloth comes from mining, pretty much.

Make sure you are killing humanoid mobs because they drop the majority of cloth.

But yes, cloth drop rates are pathetic.

I get more cloth from my miner mining webbed nodes. Other than that, random cloth/bolt drops from treasures and buying from AH , I guess…

Webbed nodes from mining. But it’s not a crazy amount.

To combat 2x4 cloth farming, blizzard made a change under the hood so NO ONE can find cloth now.

Have you been leveling up your tailoring?

This is just not true at all.

My mage has the gathering specialisation maxed and I get an average of 40 weavercloth and 10 bolts running Rookery as a follower dungeon - takes all of 15mins.

Priory nets me even more but it’s a bit longer to run through, and I’ve even had 5-10 Duskcloth dropping per run recently too.

Edit: I’ve also started running Delves on my mage because I got them to max level and have been getting a decent amount of cloth there as well, though definitely less than dungeons.

I did a follower dungeon and got around 20 pieces of cloth , soloing, Follower dungeons may be the trick. I hope they don’t nerf it , now that I told y’all

LOL I get more cloth as a miner then it seems tailors are getting with drops…certain mine nodes give cloth…

Is this a recent thing? Couple weeks ago I was trying dungeons and leaving with like… 1, maybe 2 cloth. I wonder if they nerfed open world cloth and buffed instanced.

They definitely are if you just want to farm cloth.

I think nerfing it would be a mistake. I like that there’s at least some reward/incentive for running follower dungeons.

I’ve been doing it on my mage since probably a week or so ago, but had the extra material wheel pretty well maxed out by then. Not sure what drops are like without that specialisation.

But with it follower dungeons have been a great source.

Last week I wasn’t getting stuff like Duskcloth at all in follower dungeons, but did when I ran some today - so they definitely seem to be tweaking it.

Cloth drops from humanoids as usual. Dungeons would generally be a better source since mobs are clustered much more tightly, compared to them being pretty spread out in the open world.

I’m surprised this thread is about weavercloth though. Dawnweave and duskweave are what everyone’s stuggling to find now because a couple weeks ago Blizz seems to have quietly nerfed the drop rate into oblivion lol

Follower dungeons yield 20-30 weavercloth per run.

Haven’t seen any drop on my tailor, of course, that char isn’t 80 yet, but still.

Semper Fi! :us: :ukraine:

I do one run of Priory follower dungeon per day and that seems to fill the basic cloth needs of my tailor/enchanter.

Mind you, I’ve specced hard into cloth drops at the expense of being able to make things right away.
