Where on Azeroth are the dragon isles?!?!

I feel like our world map is already so cluttered. Is it on the other side of the globe? How could a continent larger than northrend erroneously labeled an isle hide from us for so long?

from the map looks like on the side of sunwell

The prospective vanilla map, that was going to include them, had them north of Quelā€™thalas. No idea where theyā€™d be now.

I believe that they mentioned in an interview that they are north east from the known Azeroth landmasses

That article was interesting but the depicted dragon isles are tiny. According to blizzard it is going to be the largest post vanilla continent they made. Which means bigger than northrend.

true but it might be on the other side would kind of be a pain if it was on the back side of azeroth and we had to click another button to spin the globe lol

There is no other side of the globe. Our continents make up the entire globe. Just like a map of our world isnā€™t just one side of the globe.

I mean pandaria doesnā€™t show up on that globe. And there is some empty space although not a lot on the Argus view of azeroth.

Iā€™m not saying there isnā€™t empty space. Iā€™m saying thereā€™s no completely empty side of a globe. Thereā€™s definitely space.

Hereā€™s someoneā€™s rendition of what it might look like from some different angles. But the point is, all of the continents arenā€™t on one side only. lol

The fact that the forbidding sea and veiled sea arenā€™t named the same it would suggest there is a large-ish land mass in between those two oceans seperating them. Oceans donā€™t usually change names in the middle.

The bridge in Dragonblight leads to it. Itā€™s on the other side south of Northrend.

could be a good gate way
they did say that when DF is out northrend would be a simi hub again

I would love it if Blizz put out an interactive globe that would let us zoom in/out, rotate around with click and drag, maybe have a kind google maps feel the more you zoom in.

Would make the world feel a little more real, def give us some immersion thats new and fresh.

They just increase the size of the globe as they need to.

The world map is definitely getting cluttered. Iā€™m hoping they have an expansion in the pipeline called ā€˜World of Warcraft: The Other Side of Azerothā€™ or something. And every expansion after that is exploring uncharted lands and seas. Completely new Azerotheon cultures and architecture never seen in Warcraft lore.

ā€œDe Other Sideā€ Itā€™s the original homeland of the trolls pre-zandalari.

Hey, some how we managed to miss two massive islands for BFA, so god only knows what else we havenā€™t found yet. It might be time to take the space ship the Alliance has up and do an survey from orbit
