All these people whining about the DPS pulling for them or “you pull it you tank it” mentality.
My guys, tanking really isn’t that hard. If the DPS is shredding through stuff and pulling for you, pick up the mobs and pick up the pace.
Like, any decent tank doesn’t have DPS pulling for them because they’re half a mile behind them.

Oooh i can see the “replying” thing firing up now
You’re about to enrage a bunch of people that think threat is still a real thing in this game, and those that don’t realize “not pulling before the tank” only exists because it was impossible to get threat on mobs from Vanilla-wrath if the tank wasnt the first one to attack

Another day of people wondering why they’re waiting 30 minutes for a tank.

‘You pull it you tank it’ has been around for a while.
And I live by it.

99% of people’s tanking experience will consist of just doing a dps rotation and pulling mobs. it’s really not that hard. sure, the top end of content tanking becomes more difficult but for the vast majority it’s just like being a dps…

I’m a tank my guy.
It’s really not rocket science.
Mobs are dying in seconds, let’s go fast.
Better for everyone

Tanks aren’t even needed in these sorts of runs.

Indeed, and that’s where most of these complainers are.

Now I’ve played a lot of tank, and do not care if people pull before me, it’s whatever, but it’s a thing. It doesn’t happen usually, but at least on my Devastation Evoker in mythic+, I usually have to delay my aoe burst a few seconds or I will absolutely take aggro and then die

Okay curious since this is the exact type of person I’m mentioning in my comment here:
Why is it a problem for you to pick up mobs that someone else pulls? Threat isnt the issue, you even said it yourself - its been around a while because it only applied during the first 6-8 years of wow when threat mattered.
Is it just spite that someone did something for you that you’re supposed to be doing?

warriors at the beginning of the pull getting 1 shot says threat is still infact a problem.

There have always been diva tanks so I’m not sure what you mean.

My favorite are the dps tanks that are overconfident — the ones that speedrun as if their life will literally cease if the run takes 10 extra seconds— and they end up dying, blaming the healer, and then leaving off of pure embarrassment.
Never gets old.

Because yall need to learn some patience and let the tanks grab 'em.
If you pull too quickly because the tank isn’t moving to your liking, well you get to tank yourself since it’s what you wanna do.
And then afterwards you can go roll a tank and actually do the job since you wanna do it anyway.

In all my thousand something M+ runs in SL, I think I’ve had a single player intentionally andd onto the pull when I didn’t want him to. A deranged lock had desynced his burst from the rest of the group and didn’t want to hold his infernal or use it on a smaller pull.
That was during peak S3 Lock FOTM and was a one-off. It definitely is not in any way common even though I’ve played with several thousand unique players across the entirety of the expansion.
