Yep. We’ve been around for quite a while now. As you can imagine, the discovery of female Gilgoblins in datamining was quite the hot topic there.

It’s like all these other posts you see of people complaining about BfA or some features. It’s a few loud people but they post enough to make it seem like a bigger issue then it really is. But since they are getting bored with the game it must mean the million + other people playing feel exactly like they do. In their posts you usually see broad statements like “everyone hates”, “community wants”, etc…when in reality it’s just a handful of disgruntled people being loud.
Edit: note - gilgoblin as an allied race would be perfectly fine and would make sense.

Idea came straight from the pits of what ever version of hell is your favorite. Its a poison for the community and to cival conversations. I havent got past the first post and i bet theres an argument somewhere in here and definitely in other race threads
Its started the moment that people learn about allied race. When people were trying to find out what could goblin get as a allied race, gilblin was the most likely one. Now, the most we learn about 8.2, the most people realise that it could work.
Its kind of easy to see them as a allied race and a few people like me saw them as a allied race for goblin since a long time. The problem is that people are so over their ‘’ popular race’’ that they forgot that not only elf were going to have allied race but least popular race was also going to get allied race that would please the fan of those race…
Gilblin and junkergnome are kind of at the same place right now. People that dont want them are mostly not even goblin or gnome fan. They are just people that think that only the popular race should get love.

Initially, people rebutting the Vulpera as an Allied Race. Now, the same and people who saw the 8.2 reveal and put two and two together, deeming Gilgoblins more likely than Vulpera.

These are exactly the sentiments I’ve felt on the matter. It has like felt like an us vs everyone else kind of matter when it comes to discussing Gilgoblins. Goblins are already the second least played race. Now I think if anyone suggested any goblin race an allied race, then results would be pretty similar.

Lemme ask you this. How do you think you feel if this was announced as new allied race and or/class for goblins and gnomes? The class is called demonic fel tinker. The races well. The picture should tell you enough.

It is what I’ve been saying for a while now. A lot of the people who don’t want allied races for goblins and gnomes are also the same sort of people who’d argue against their existence in the game to begin with.
