It occurred to me the other day, “why isn’t the Twilight’s Hammer active in the story right now?” They seek to summon the Old Gods, and want the Black Empire to return don’t they?
With N’Zoth being released, and all the heavy Old God stuff going right now, I thought they’d have more of a presence than a Dark Shore warfront daily to kill 20 Twilight’s Cultists. It would have made a lot of sense to have them infiltrate the Tide Sages and House Stormsong. Stormsong Valley is all about the Old God’s corruption afterall.
Anyway, just curious.
Probably because there would’ve been way too many side stories going on had they done that. They might have some storyline excuse of them not being on those islands or something.

Haven’t we killed them enough?

I don’t think so. We’re still killing Naga afterall. And we’ve been whacking them since Stranglethorne Vale in Vanilla.
took a pilgrimage Disneyland perhaps ?
they want to bring about the end of the world, which is why they were a focus in cata. it was the destruction of the planet.
we basically wiped them out and we just have small sects of them popping up, which we proceed to kill.

I think this is the reason why. They are the Twilight Hammer for N’Zoth and are doing all the things the cult would have been doing anyway.

I’m 100% sure Blizz forgot about them, like they do with half of their lore.

There is also the Cult of the Damned. And all this talk surrounding Death, and death avatars. But nowhere is there any hooded figures setting up shrines to death.
I’m inclined to agree. Blizzard probably has just forgotten about all of this.

I think it is mostly disbanded since cataclysm when we killed their leader and the thing they worshipped (deathwing).
They could see a resurgence next xpac if it is old god themed. But Azshara was a way bigger, and better, threat to us than a cult in disarray.
Last we saw of them, they were in Silithus, and their boss dropped a journal of visions given to him by “the masters.”
Talked about how he saw a Dark Lady leading people over a cliff to their death, laughing, satisfied.
A Boy King three lies he would tell, the first already said.
They’re mostly hanging out in Silithus. You’d think they would have a larger role in the expansion about releasing the Old God, but here we are. 8.3 might bring them into the spotlight, who knows.
I think we’ll see them more when N’zoth is actually doing something.
This is technically the first time an Old God has been on the loose, outside his confines. N’zoth seems like he’s not rooted into the Earth like the other old gods.
He is the weakest lore wise, so he could be the smallest as well.

ooooh right I forgot about those guys down there.
I am tired of them personally. They pop up and i swat them down and then they show up later.
Far as i am concerned i exterminated them long ago.
Cultists have a presence on Island Expeditions
They are reading Twilight novels.

There are quite a few in dark shore. They are responsible for summoning several of the rares.
