Stormbringer is being sold to us on being the only lightning caster in the game, but for elemental that’s only Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning and we only use 1 of those at a time depending on ST or AoE. The rest of our spell kit is fire, frost, or earth.
Icefury and Frost Shock aren’t storms. Neither is Lava Burst or Earth Shock or Elemental Blast or Earthquake.
Where is the storm we were promised? Where is the wind? Where is the rain? Why is it just Lightning Bolt?
For Blizzard, the idea of celebrating the only lightning caster is to give us even more LB, as if it wasn’t already the main focus of the spec… totally disappointing!
I want our specialization to have storms, thunder, more air abilities like tornadoes and hurricanes, but why doesn’t Blizzard do it? Is it that difficult? Or will they have to release other expansion just to make this happen?
As a consolation, just imagine one of those epic National Geographic photos of a volcano erupting and a storm forming above it, one of those epic photos with an active volcano with lightning streaking above it.
