Anniversary event is in November — because that’s the anniversary month. It’s in the patch notes.

Bee mount wise, got to go back to the honey farm in Stormsong with your pet bee out. No time gating this time, once you get to a point, you start farming jelly nodes for reputation for the Bee Queen, and a little bee you help to grow. Already at 7500/12000, so I bet some could be done by now if they did an all nightery.
Edit: since the time I posted this comment which was about 2 hours ago, I now have 490/21000. Just to show how easily it can be farmed, if you remain focus on it.

8.2.5 updated the Lunar Festival stuff as well – does that make it time-gated because the Lunar Festival happens in February, but the data was included in yesterday’s patch?
Time-gated means things we can’t progress because Blizzard puts an artificial block on our actions until a certain date. Something like the anniversary events aren’t a time-gate because they have a specific date for which they’re intended – just like the Lunar Festival stuff.

the av event was advertised to be in the 8.2.5 patch and its not there so its time gated correct?
It is included in the data. We have the data in our WoW folders. But since the AV event is part of the anniversary events (again, see patch notes) the AV event will happen in November.

The event is in November, so you have to wait. If you want to call that a “time gate”, then go nuts.

The data for the anniversary event was released in 8.2.5.
You might as well say that 9.0 is time gated.

AV event is for Blizzard’s birthday.
Blizzard’s birthday is in November.
We are currently in September.

I don’t think you understand what “time gated” is. I mean, I get its a generic complaint nowadays, and often has merit.
Right now it doesn’t.
Blizz plz stop timegating Christmas every year and just have it every day thx
