I like to take the Warspear Grunts’ words as a compliment. The only people who can give them a good, challenging fight is the Alliance. It means they think we’re strong.

Wouldn’t you want to bring up Ashran because it’s a point in your favor in regards to your argument? It’s literally an instance where both sides are treated as being the same, and there’s no canon ‘first strike’.

It’s literally an instance of ‘Alliance as bad as the Horde’ and vice versa…

Its not complete sunshine for the alliance this is true. Dakrshore could have been handled a little bit better (a la nathanos being killed and revived by sacrificng the valkyr). Darkshore should have never been a warfront due to the very nature of warfronts existing in perpetual limbo. Both players would probably prefer if this faction war never happened.

I enjoyed legion though. Just because i am horde, does not mean i can not enjoy adventures with alliance characters. I was a big fan of the War of the ancients books.

The timeline of events aren’t difficult to understand.

Garrosh starts the, “Fourth War,” in Cataclysm.
The, “Fourth War,” ends with Varian and Vol’jin signing a treaty.
The Iron Horde invades Azeroth, and the Alliance and Horde cooperate.
The Horde attacks the Alliance on Ashran, violating the treaty between Varian and Vol’jin.
War does NOT break out then and there.
The Legion begins invading Azeroth.
Varian and Vol’jin both die. The Horde and Alliance are not in a position to fight, and maintain the treaty, shakily.
Genn violates the treaty by attacking Sylvanas in Stormheim.
War does NOT break out then and there.
The Legion is defeated. The events of Before the Storm come up.
Sylvanas declares war on the Alliance with the War of Thorns campaign.

I’d like to see the Warfront model applied to repelling non-Horde/Alliance adversaries. Like a Dragonblight Warfront with Scourge or something.

I love the warfront armors but I’m a big enough person to admit seeing the other Alliance races wearing night elf themed gear annoys me immensely in a way that is totally irrational.

To be honest, I don’t disagree, but I see Warfront gear as more appropriate for the main race of each Warfront, with the exception of Arathi, because those sets thematically fit three races on each side without much trouble. Humans, Dwarves, and Gnomes all look fine in the Alliance stuff. Orcs, Trolls, and Tauren all look great in the Horde stuff.

Darkshore is definitely more Night Elf/Forsaken exclusive in looks, but that’s not really awful.

Don’t forget that Alliance thought that the Horde has broken the treaty by abandoning them on the shore, when it fact that was a push by fake Mathias Shaw. The fast majority of the conflicts in Legion were the result of Legion manipulation and both Anduin and Sylvanas know this.

No, because it has literally nothing to do with this war, absolutely zero, zilch, nada, null, nix. It is a war from before a peace was made to fight the Legion, a peace the Alliance broke with their attack on Sylvanas for no reason.

Let us assume you are right, you aren’t but let us assume for the sake of argument:

Both sides claim the other side started it, thusly we don’t know who struck first in Ashran.

Reading NPC dialogue we know who started it. The Alliance was looking for an artifact, and the Horde attacked out of sheer boredom while the Blood Elves tried to beat the Alliance to the artifact.

THere are so many cases of various races wearing human style 7th Legion armors or orc style Honorbound gear.

I have to ask, why can’t there be human members in the Night Elf sentinels these days, or orcs being part of the Blood Elf shield breakers?
