Where is the Latino Culture at in WoW?

I swear I’ve seen this exact post word for word from you numerous times in the past…

It’s time to stop

Day of the dead. Special items, decorations, lasts an entire week.

Where is black history month? No where. Stop complaining. At least you get something.

Not about looks. Their original lore has them iirc being more based on the Spanish Armada than the British Admiralty. They were supposed to be Spanish themed from Arathi, not Gilneas. Although Arathi itself has a Stonehenge sort of thing so I dunno.

Lol I say we we turn wow into it’s a small world like in Disneyland and be done with it. Although that ride broke down last time I was there so you never know.

latino culture is literally spanish, ie european culture in a lot of ways, in terms of mainstream culture.

it depends what you mean but native american elements to latino culture are often…not that influential.

latin america is like southern europe, in terms of it’s strongest cultural influences.

so in that sense it is already in WOW.

it depends what you mean though but a lot of the time people don’t know what they are really talking about in terms of latino culture

Well it is Sunday after all…

If Blizzard need to implement ALL the cultures found IRL, this game will look like a mess… I am a “French Canadian”, where is my culture represented in this game?

Murloc Latino culture confirmed. Now we just need to wait for the Allied Race.

At the risk of being perceived poorly, define Latino. Mesoamerican and South American culture cannot be defined by a single look. It is heavily influenced by Spanish and Portuguese culture. Which are like many sibling culture similar yet distinct. Then you have the Inca, Mayan and Aztec cultures. That’s just the ones I know of never mind in individual tribal groups.

As for European mythology. As if all of Eurasia can be defined by the “Norse, Greek, Celtic and the Great Britain empire” cultures. European cultures are far more diverse than 4 groups. Never mind the absence of Slavic cultures.

The generalisations made by modern inter-sectionalism and representation is both insulting and demeaning.

Edit: Spelling.

Oh don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I’m not proud of it, it’s just that I know for a fact that the vast majority of people in this game have strong negative feelings towards people from latin america (most use the bs excuse of language barrier) and I’m pretty sure having having more latin american stuff in-game would only be used by these people to attack us more.
Not to mention for american people seem to think latin america = mexico, I’m pretty sure any form of latino representation in-game would end up being just mexican stuff and the rest of the many latin american countries would be simply left out or poorly represented.

I know that the Spanish Inquisition went after Jews pretty heavily, along with anyone who didn’t tow the official religious line. Not sure why the mods would get trigger happy about historical fact. It was a convert or die situation, many died - others pretended to convert and that is how you get the Maranos. Part of the inquisition was about catching those who were putting on a front.

I’ll never understand the concept of being proud over something that you haven’t achieved and instead, you kind of ended up with.

As such I’m not really “proud” of my heritage, after all, I didn’t do anything that even contributed to it.

As such… stop posting this every few months on sundays OP, I know you’ve done the exact same thing before and the bait it’s really, really cheap.

The Day of the Dead holiday is based on Mexican traditions. There’s also Don Carlos in Tanaris.

exactly, it’s like saying european culture but with more diverse influences due to the influence of both native american and european culture in latin america.

personally my family is from a small latin american country that will probably almost never fit under the definition of latin culture that most people use.

which is why the term itself kind of bothers me.

usually when people say latin culture they seem to just mean mexico and no one else…
