Mike Y said last week he had a very exciting announcement next week, which is now this week. Hopefully this exciting announcement is today?

Next expansion trailer maybe. That would set us up for alpha by August, beta by end of the year, and a launch beginning of next year

Mike Ybarra came to Blizzard from the Microsoft Games division. I am sure he knows enough people and will use enough politics to keep his job.

Yup thought it was going to be the new IP, and it was just announced. WoW players thinking the announcement was going to be about us heh. Blizzard desperately need new games right now if they want to remain relevant. Getting people to come back to wow is an increasingly steep hill to climb.

2026? You’re more optimistic than I am. Blizzard development cycles are extremely long for new games. If it ever sees the light of day.

You do realize Tuesday != Friday right? They never said Tuesday. He said “next week”. Week == 7 days. Basic calendar knowledge.

As a side note. You are setting yourself up for a huge let down if you are expecting exciting WoW news. It will likely be about Blizzard in general. I highly doubt there will be any Blizzcon type announcements and no 9.2 release (but we all already know it will be launching in Feb or very early March). So yeah. Don’t get your hopes up and relax.
