Been away a while and I went to update my Add-Ons and the button is missing from the character menu. I figured they moved it into the game menu, but neither Options or Edit mode show me any way to access them.
I searched this forum and the net and can’t find any current info. Am I missing something obvious?
Hit Escape. It’s a separate button on the menu that pops up.

Thank you, but I am still missing something it seems.
Hitting Escape at Character Selection screen:
System
Credits
Cinematics
Exit Game
Close
Hitting Escape In-Game:
Support
Shop
What’s New
Options
Edit Mode
Macros
Log Out
Exit Game
Return to Game
This is so weird, they couldn’t have just disallowed add-ons right? Makes me feel so dumb.
Are you certain you have the add-ons in the proper folder?

There have been a number of launcher changes since you probably played last (guessing its at least 2 xpacs, 4 years?) so my guess would be to either run the repair tool or do a fresh install and re-try. The places you are looking is where it should be, so this seems a client issue more than a server issue.

Good gawd, I am dumb as dirt, I just bought a new wizz-bang super-duper PC 2 weeks ago and forgot to put add ons in. Figured I’d better confess since you guys were trying to be helpful.

If you’re running in Windows, the addon Folder should be in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_retail_\Interface\AddOns
If there is nothing in that folder, that might be the reason you don’t see the option.
You need to move or install your addons into that folder. Then that Addons button should show up.

Good job. I always keep a backup of my interface folder, if only to save all the settings I’ve put in.

OMG yes, first thing I do after I sit down to a UI refresh, is save my wtf folder somewhere on my desktop or online storage. Saved me a few times over the years when random scenarios have cause me to have to re-install.

Grrr…wish I’d backed up from my old PC before it died, a hundred or more pet battle teams in Rematch are gone. Guess it’s a small price to pay for the huge PC upgrade.

I believe just interface is alright cause most settings, like keybind/macro are saved to the account and not locally. I played on a friend’s pc and outside of her terrible addon choices, my other settings were still present.
This sounds like you have an add-on that is hiding the button because I see it on the character menu still.
When you enter game and hit ESC, you should get the menu below which also has add-ons between Macros and Log Out.
Again if you’re not seeing those, then you don’t have any custom add-ons in the current installation path as mentioned by @Ianthus. If the folder’s blank then the buttons don’t show up (the button between Macros and Log Out is gone if I rename my folder to AddOns_bak).

Thanks for the help all, sorry you had to hold the hand of the wake and baked, just say “no” kids…
That character transmog looks very Alantian, as in someone that’s from Atlantis.
It’s a set I collected in BFA at the Nazmir zone. Here’s your Atlantean!
That’s nice, however, reminds me of an Atlantian in an Aquaman way. The first character looks like the way Alantian guards were portrayed in many order movies that featured Alantis before it sank into the ocean. There’s one that was done in the 1960’s that I can’t remember the name of, but it showed Atlantis as almost an exotic Roman, and Greek mixture.
Same happened to me this week. My problem was too many sub folders. If you add an addon and it’s placed in the Addon folder, make sure it can access all the file without digging through too many folders. Microsoft’s unzip app does add an extra folder I believe.

The addon button on the character screen is what I am missing too.
I have the addons button in game, no issues but, not on the main character selection.
In the top bar there is a ‘Menu’ button and the Addons button is in the menu. You can also access the menu by pressing the escape button.
