Where is the actual Wind Walking?

I am a big fan of the blade master hero in WC3 and Samuro in Heroes of the Storm.
Am I the only one a little disappointed that we did not get any form of Wind Walking with the hero talent trees in TWW? Shadow pan tree sounded like it totally could of fit that theme with “shadow” being in the name.

I get more stealth probably is not healthy for the game but I would of loved to see some kind of temporary stealth like wind walk. Maybe something like you get a few seconds of stealth at the end of flying serpent kick.
Be so cool, just zip forwards towards a target to just all of the sudden disappear in front of the target and then reappear behind. Or the escape utility to add to the monks hit and run style of play.

A guy can dream…

Blademasters are Warriors, not Monks.

It would have been interesting to have one of our hero specs go a bit stealth, though.

No. You’re not the only one. However, it’d be much more fitting and easy to balance as a PvP talent.

To be fair they’re kind of a grab bag of WoW classes. A lot of the WC3 heroes are.

Oh you mean FoF rework, instead of visually punching, it’s a 360 radius debuff/dot applied to targets around you which resets/ applies by being near them it also makes you invisible except to those in range. However those outside FoF range will temporarily see you during FoF if you use other abilities so if you roll they see you roll but then you disappear again if they are not in FoF range.

Yeah probably won’t happen.

Yes a PVP talent would probably be more fitting for such an ability.

100% opportunity missed unfortunately :sob::sob: I would have loved a bit of a stealthy ninja feel to that talent tree… Bleh sad days

For real. Although i have to admit, i just found it is actually “Shado-Pan” lol but the lore says it means “Sword in the Shadows”.

So still holds for stealthy ninja opportunities. But it didn’t…

Shado-pan originated, at least when reading wow chronicle, when shaohao defeated the sha forms of his own negative emotions. Seems the “Sha” might refer to that, and of course pan is for pandaren. Never did defeat his pride though

Whoever is in charge of Monk class design really doesn’t understand what most of the players actually want. We want less Pandaria themed stuff and more classical monk genre things instead. Blademaster themed abilities would have been perfect and a great tie-in to Windwalker.

Who died and put you in charge? Don’t speak for me.

Calm down and read, they weren’t speaking for you.

They said “most” as obviously there are outliers, but they’re not wrong. Most want less pandaria themed stuff.

They hear you, they dont care.
Theyre not creating a class fantasy to your liking, theyre creating it off the lore they designed for the class. Shadowpan and celestials are a huge part of monk lore.

Also, blade masters are their own thing in lore “masters of blade axe and spear” of old orc lore, and absolutely nothing to do with monk. Theyre more disciplined warrior than anything.

Demon hunters were their own thing until legion, but they still gave warlocks metamorphosis.

Oh and death coil before Death knights in wrath.

Just saying hasn’t stopped blizz from mixing abilities and lore in the past.

An interesting ability would be something that changes transference into something similar to cloudstep (in Black myth wukong) a PvP ish ability that leaves a decoy behind while you fade into the mist and can land a “sneak” attack.

This was done with rogue vanish i believe. Was a glyph maybe. The decoy was minor if i recall

12 years old lol. I’ve been playing this game for too long…

Man, I’ve been playing forever and I’ve just never been into rogues or PvP really. I had no idea about this.

Shado-Pan are also a secret org of pandaren that are never supposed to leave the wall… they are trained from birth for one purpose.
