Where is the 50-59 bracket gear?

It seems google doesn’t have an answer. Care to create a thread?

50 is a seperate bracket from 51-59 and unless you feel like locking xp and doing end game bfa stuff(hoa neck and shroud cloak) you’re stuck with AH gear. the greens for a level 50 can range from a lvl 60(booo) up to 111(yay).
i suggest getting as close to ilvl 100 as possible before you start playing in 50. there is a pvp gear vendor for level 50 but the gear is ilvl 83(booo).

Heirlooms, level 50 honor gear vendor in org/sw, level 56/57 greens on ah.

I’m going to mark this as the answer

understand in 50 you’ll be fighting players on bfa accounts who are capped at 50. some of them are 130ilvl and have 22k hp. once you ding 51 the syncd 60’s will have a template for gear and around 20k hp.

Level 50 battlegrounds are flooded with BfA capped players with 130+ ilvl as mentioned earlier by homelander. If you aren’t at atleast 100 ilvl, when you get looked at by the Mythic geared players you pretty much get logged out (its that bad).

51-59 gearing. I would suggest getting the level 50 crafted gear that is item level 100 (it helps). Do the quests/world quests/dungeon for the zone of your choice to complete the covenant quest, I suggest saving it, turn it in at 59 for the 158 ilvl weapon. Once you reach level 56 you can equp the 129 ilvl gear that drops from random mobs in SL (time savor, get them from the AH). The elite mobs roaming around the SL zones can drop gear relevent to your level if you choose to farm them daily. The trasure chests in SL have a chance to contain ilvl 176 gear that can be equpped at level 56, but the odds are very low at acquiring them; you cal also buy them from the AH but they tend to be very expensive (50k - 1m gold each).

Heirloom gear fully upgraded is a nice median especially once you reach level 58. You can get cheap enchants for your chest, weapon and cloak from the AH to beef you up.

All in all the gearing process in the 51 - 59 bracket is pretty casual. Level syncs in the bracket have a 129 ilvl template and most synced classes have 23.6k hp when synced. If you have full set of upgraded heirlooms and equip 129 ilvl gear at level 56, you will outgear the synced players :grinning:.

Bring your A game if your gonna BG at 50, dam hunters are everywhere… lol

You can tell who reads the forums by looking at the AH. 129 ilvl gear went from an average 30-300 gold per piece to 150-900 gold per piece now. I think thats hilarious :joy:

When I read this they were already 500-2000 gold per piece lol.

That’s still low though. The players that care enough about low level pvp to gear their toons properly are likely to be experienced pvp’ers with plenty of gold.

They get to greedy, players will just turn xp off and farm dungeons… better to have some gold than none for otherwise useless gear.

In select realms, farming level 20 rare items and level 50 rare items can net you a huge profit.

Which expansion do 20s usually farm?

TBC. Can make lots of money selling old BC crafted gems and enchants for those players who are gearing their 20’s while waiting for their sub to expire. It doesn’t even take a lot of effort since farming these things at max level is so easy.

Lets put this out there.

Solo queue, like at 60 can be rough in the 51-59 bracket. If you solo queue, even as a twink (140+ ilvl) prepare to get rolled as the general playerbase are sub 100 ilvl (17k and less hp).

Your Best bet is to look for a pvp community active in the 51-59 bracket, be it via level sync or twink; otherwise the frustration may claim you and you unsub.

Apparently there are quite a few forum dwellers looking to capitalize on the popularity of the 51-59 bracket and level their alts via bgs and do next to nothing in hopes they get carried… this is happening on both sides and I am sure the active 51-59 community has noticed this.

All I can say is, HAVE YOUR FUN! But understand that there will be players looking for a carry and can impede on your fun and time invested (same goes for 60 bgs).

It is exhausting… but it is what it is. Don’t like it dont queue.
