It’s January 20th 2026 this is when the pre patch comes out. So where is it?

No, that’s the prepatch event, not the prepatch itself.

Hi there!,
The Pre-Patch should already be downloaded to your PC automatically via the Blizzard App. Patch should show as Pre-release content downloaded on the App.
Servers go offline at 7:00AM, Pacific Time (PST) today and are expected to come back up at around 3:00PM, Pacific Time (PST).
Once the servers are back up the Pre-Patch will be live. However the Pre-Patch event leading up to the Midnight expansion doesn’t start until next week.

this is the normal downtime they quote for pre-patch implementations. Sometimes they have to extend the maintenance due to issues and sometimes, although rare, they go live sooner than quoted. You can also expect bugs and server lag on these days after the servers go live
It takes a long time to break everything

It launches at Midnight so that way it lives up to its name.
This current dev team is so incompetent that they ended WoW Legion Remix 3 hours early and lots of the stuff was bugging out on the last couple days of it. And now they cant even launch this on time.
They still have 2.5hrs.
