I like to grab some downtime when my player takes a break but I am a newly made Death Knight and can’t find any ‘resting area’ in Ebon Hold. No beds, no cots, not even a clean pile of hay.
Am I missing the area? Does it not have one? Am I forced to rest in a hard bottom coffin with the plebeians in Undercity?

Low level DKs sleep there.

I suggest the inn in the Valley of Strength.
You’ll sleep on a cold, hard slab and you’ll like it.
Back in MY day…

Thank you for the suggestion.
Unfortunately, even if I were willing to lay down among so many unwashed living, I can’t fit between the bottom and top bunk or the top bunk and the slanted ceiling in the Broken Tusk.
It appears my fellow blood elf demon hunter friend does not have a proper place to lay her head either. Perhaps I will join her in Broken Isles Dalaran. She believes she has found a safe place for us in the Underbelly. Not up to our standards of course but private and cle… oh no, she is being attacked by unamused imps!
It appears our search will continue.
Would it really hurt the architects of our World to provide appropriate accommodations for us!!! I mean we are not some common plebs, we belong to a heroic class after all!
And we have sacrificed everything!!!

We’re dead sister…well technically unalive. There’s a reason we say “Suffer Well”, that’s all we do is suffer. I have managed to sleep while standing though, Mograine doesn’t like it.

Suffer Well isn’t just a catch phrase OP. It’s what a DK actually does.

DH just had to give up their eyes. But they don’t have to suffer after that lol

And they can use their double jump to get up on the top bunk in The Filthy Animal!!!
(Although why anyone would want to stay at a place called The Filthy Animal is beyond me.)
My search continues.

DKs are undead? They don’t sleep.

Aha!
While Broken Isle’s Dalaran’s Filthy Animal does certainly live up to its name, Northrend’s Dalaran’s Filthy Animal is clean and has single hammocks that can be comfortably accessed.
My search is over… for now.
Not sleep!
Rest, you peons, rest!
humans! Can’t live with them, can’t kill enough to make a dent!
We have a large basket of freshly washed laundry in the barrow den in the druid class hall, but alas, you can’t sleep there.
They call them the restless dead for a reason I suppose.
