It has been a long time since we’ve seen Medivh in the flesh, since Legion at the end of Return to Karazhan.
How come now during the War Within with the great threat of the Void lords potentially consuming our world, Medivh hasn’t made an appearance? Will he finally appear in Midnight and lend us his aid? He is one of the most powerful beings in Azeroth, an Eternal that cannot die with absolute undeniable power. So, why would he not help us?

Medivh, despite being currently alive, has some difficulty remaining physically.
This means that he cannot reach his potential as before, as he always needs to maintain his attention and power to remain corporeal, as we see in his appearances since his mother resurrected him.
I think that because of this, Medivh’s participation will be more like an advisor, without acting more actively. Unless something changes.

He hasn’t “been in the flesh” since he was decapitated by Lothar. Having passed on his responsibilities to Khadgar, he has gone to his rest.
But I thought he was resurrected by his mother… he just phases in and out of reality. But when he met with khad’gar in legion he was alive and flew away to then just disappear again.
I’m pretty sure that was his ghost, juast as his apperances as The Prophet.
While alive he had stripped his mother of all her magic save her longevity spell, which was burned to aid Jaina.

Medivh is, in fact, alive.
However, I think that similar to the Ethereals, their corporeal form cannot remain stable without some intervention.
