Given how powerful he is I think he can just swoop in and solve lots of problems + add bunch of dramas to the main story since his wife is missing…

AWOL means away without leave, Tyrande is the leader of the Night elves, she doesn’t have anyone she reports to on Night Elven matters, therefore she doesn’t need anyone’s leave to go anywhere.
Nuts means not mentally stable. She’s hunting someone who literally geocided her race. All of her anger is 100% justified and her response is completely warranted.
The only time blizz usually gives malfurion any story is in books. They made him too powerful to do much in game he could take out a huge chunk of a army by himself which would make us basically worthless.
Tyrande’s not nuts (yet), she’s doing what’s right.
Malfurion is still dealing with druid matters in Azeroth, as is his charge.

I think she is dong the right thing just in a very reckless way which is a quality of a good nut…
But Tyrande isn’t so she gets story in game. She destroyed Nathanos so easily… Takes a raid group worth of players to do any damage to Nathanos while he taunts us the whole time
Realistically we could easily beat nathanos. He’s nothing special compared to things we have fought before it’s all just how blizz wants to write their story
