I’ve been to floor 6th and beaten the boss but always seem to never get the loot cause i think i missed it… Where is it located?
There is none.
You get soul ash to make or upgrade legendaries from Torghast. You can also get a follower for your table. Cosmetics will be rewarded in higher floors later on.
There’s no gear, because it’s mostly meant to be a rogue-lite challenge.
FF14 makes procedural dungeons way more fun to play.
Lol.
FFXIV also had only cosmetic stuff, back when I played it. Unless they changed that.
Because PotD/HoH are that much more fun/reward more loot?
Please
Yes it is. PotD is known for being an easy leveling alternative in addition to providing cosmetic loot that plenty of players use. Torghast is known for neither.
It’s so great they completely omitted it in Shadowbringers.
Yep.
The only reason I did it was for the red glam weapons. It was painful.
Leveling itself is not a fun experience, and I dislike it when people use that as a positive reason to exist.
That’s what makes 14 so unfun - there’s not much to do but level alt jobs. Which isn’t fun. And ultimately serve no purpose because end-game is empty.
They have two procedural dungeons, Heaven-on-High and POTD. It doesn’t really make sense to make more. They also implemented Eureka which also provides gear.
Eureka is just for the old armor/weapon glams.
The new Bozjan front is also just armor/weapon glams.
I say this because the gear itself is pointless.
If it didn’t make sense to make more, why does HoH exist? It’s there as an extension of PotD for Stormblood. However, there is no equivalent for Shadowbringers, meaning that content ends at 70. Why did that decision get made to not do that?
Torghast isn’t perfect, but stop comparing it to 14 which is just as bad.
We need better, not a sidegrade or worse. Even if Torghast is a grind, at least the outcome is a legendary boost, which is relevant to current game power. It needs to have some other rewards, maybe like the invasions from BFA.
Torghast has cosmetics. It’s in the higher floors. We just got tutorial mode this week.
I just don’t get how one tries to compare it to 14 in a way that portrays 14’s implementation as superior. It isn’t. At all.
I mean I absolutely love it when I get into a floor where i’m blinded the whole time. Or when I get turned into a frog. That’s a blast!
im trying to figure out why i would bother with Torghast
It is literally the textbook definition of a time sink.
Welcome to the new WoW where you grind a half a dozen borrowed power systems daily and weekly with zero choice in order to be average.
The question is where is the loot. FF14’s procedural dungeons have loot. Torghast does not. If you’re looking for loot, there you go. It’s very simple.
I think the last boss on the 6th floor of a layer should drop a chest with one item, only the first time you beat it each week.
Reward scales up with difficulty…
WQ= ilvl 148
Layer 1 6th floor = ilvl 150
Base lvl 60 crafted = ilvl 151
Layer 2 6th floor = ilvl 155
RBG PvP = ilvl 158
Non Heroic Dungeon = ilvl 158
Layer 3 6th floor = ilvl 160
Heroic Dungeon = ilvl 171
They don’t have meaningful loot. It’s either a bag that has a small chance at a cosmetic or something or a worthless firework. And your main goal (outside of leveling) is just to get the weapon glam, or fish for the bags at a chance of a hairstyle or something.
Torghast, as boring and painful as it may be, does lead you to loot - legendary progress, which actually makes you stronger.
I wouldn’t be adverse to having more small rewards - though it seems like higher levels do have them.
It doesn’t have an endless grind. You get your soul ash very easily. It’s there for the challenge. To actually enjoy playing a game instead of needing a reward to even imagine doing it.
