We make him go. We see his travels, but where is he? Is he working for N’Zoth? Are we gonna have to fight him? Or are we going to actually see him on one of his adventures in Najitar?
Seeing as tortollans tell stories about him, and the fact that we don’t see him in game, AND the fact that tortollans are incredibly long lived…
I’m sorry to break it to you, but Loh is dead as a doornail.
Reminder that Loh claims to be a Tortollan but uses a turtle model which is actually a tortoise. That definitely sounds like some old god magic.
Hopefully we have some Tortollan working for N’zoth in 8.2.
I can’t believe I actually know the legit, lore answer to your question.
Loh settled in a far off island after living in the big city, he then spent a long life eating fish in peace.
I believe one of the world quests in Stormsong implies the cannon ending of the story is Loh retired to a tranquil life of island farming.
Mind you however its quite possible Loh is entirely a parable and there wasn’t a real Loh.
The minigame also seems implied to be more a stand in for our character sitting and listening to the tortallen tell a story. Hence why if you fail the minigame he says that isn’t how the story goes.
I can never read this without hearing that ringing sound of a WQ finishing.
Loh is Toki. Toki tells the stories of his past in the form of a great cultural epic because his grandkids (and adventurers) don’t want to hear about ‘back in his day’.
Alternate theory: they call him Loh because he’s the Loh One in Tortollan language aka N’zoth and what you’re actually playing are the horrific adventures across history of N’zoth attacking empires.
World Quests are an abomination. I feel compelled to do them because the rewards are just something I need drip fed to me even at max level, and yet they are slowly driving me insane with repetition despite the fact they also happen to be one of the few things I can actually do to keep myself occupied in BfA between ques.
The Tortolion WQs have actively ruined my brain because even as I typed that I was hearing it in Toki’s voice.
I can agree on that, I don’t like the every day grind…
… but the alternative is dailies, which knowing me, I would complain about just as much. So for me personally, it’s not so much WQs. I just know I want free stuff apparently.
Wholesome, just like tortolans
