Where is faction identity?

Playing this xpac a few weeks now and nothing feels like The Horde in any part of the game. And definitely no feeling of conflict with the Alliance. This xpac doesnt even feel like the Warcraft universe. Its like devs from overwatch and starcraft and possibly other defunct mmos did this. The art is only thing that somewhat reminds of warcraft. The story is contrived garbage.

Horde is now the Alliance part two.

Where Taurens are forced to bend knee to Human Male Paladins

Also say no to hugs, hugs are evil!

I don’t know.

I prefer this over them shoe-horning in some token Alliance/Horde conflict like they did in Legion, where Genn blames Sylvanas for Varian’s death because of some sit-com level miscommunications.

wait you care about lore :eyes:

Alliance and horde don’t exist in the afterlife

Well we can’t share pve still so there you go.

Still has the tag out junk soo…to fight the faction pull the whole area in. Leave no mobs for the other side.

lol

i knew it was getting bad when i watched thrall throw a tiny hammer into that giant woman’s eye during the maw intro.

The fact that Jaina and thrall are running together down the ally like alien vs predator scene where the human and predator is running together.

Sad face

I will say I think it would be cool if we saw some old lore characters like Garithos, Daelin Proudmoore, etc. in the afterlife who never let go of their old grudges.

That might’ve been a cool thing to explore in Maldraxxus, maybe.

I’ll say this: the faction warfare is the worst part of the story and I think Blizz should never create another faction war moving forward.

The war in warcraft should be for the things that threaten Azeroth.

Completely different than Battle for Azeroth where we had a huge stupid war because reasons.

With the installation of Alliance lapdogs within the Horde Council, the Horde is now a subsidiary of the Alliance. Faction Identity is no longer relevant.

LOL. I was shaking my head at that laughing. Like wtf? Its comical how bad it is. Then I have to help him find a new weapon?

Well, technically it’s only “us” the maw walker and the main cast. Main cast doesn’t care about faction wars as much, just specific targets and slyvanas as well as defending their people. Now that there is a truce, it’s fine. Thrall and Baine were more or less chill with alliance for awhile now. Illidan could care less about factions, same with velen. He poofs at the mere mention of a war. Khadgar just wants to save the world. Elisande has little reason to hate the alliance right now besides that tyrande threw a fit but she’s gone atm. With slyvanas gone, little reason for Lor’themar to care since he mostly did it to support her for what she did for them. Now he’s on “good terms” with Elisande.

One reason why I never cared much for faction war stuff. We are the “champiun/maw walker/hero” etc, we are aligned with our faction originally, but really we are an “important character” in a way like the other characters that we help both factions as long as it benefits our world and the core characters.

We have become less members of X faction. even though they tug back and forth on that identity. Which is a mixed bag for some.

They don’t know how to write a story with a faction war involved because it makes the characters behave in dumb ways with terrible story, more so than normal.

You forget that we toggle between two states as we progress though expansions. This is the “we’re all friends again” cycle.

We have to unite against the Big Bad, so we can get that out of the way quickly, and toggle back to being at war with each other in the next expansion.

The feeling of no Horde / Alliance in the expac so far is kinda the point.

BFA was all about that.

This one is more high fantasy stuff, bigger concept.

Yeah, which will be 10.0 where now, OoOOO plot twist! alliance are now the baddies and it’s their turn! Because Mr army of light is socially inept and out of touch for a thousand years and just all about war so he’s gonna listen to the scarlet crusade probably, for reasons, fight against the “Fake” paladins, and purge undead. calia menethil will probably ally with the remaining undead and turn some into lightborn probably, with the void elves now trying to push back light people since they can, so probably also deemed as enemies. Maybe mag’har will join in because they hate light people.

Dunno why they want alliance to take their turn at being the bad guys. People didn’t like it when horde were bad guys, they won’t like it again when alliance are.
