It’s so weird to me that no matter the day or time, there is literally 0-2 groups in LFG for 3s above 2k. I need some btag friends badly. Im dropping rating by joining groups at 1400-1500cr just so I can play the game. Or make my own group and sit forever and a day.
There’s no way PvP can be this dead. Maybe im shadow banned and I dont know. But I havent done anything wrong to anyone, im a pretty nice guy and I dont rage or nothing. Is it because I play rdruid and not hpriest? IDK.
Please be my friend someone. Blackgoose#1622 is my btag. I spend more time finding a group than playing the game. I know PvP sucks with people not being able to get tier or classes being overtuned but still. It’s making me want to quit the game. Add me, im not looking for anything crazy just games over 2k.
PvP is actually dead man, last ssn people specifically asked for just two sets of gear, honor and conquest.
Blizzard did the exact opposite and created MORE gear levels 9!, THEN added in an rng 4 set bonus.
Now you have assassin rogues literally deleting people in a global cooldown while they sit in a 7 seconds kidney.
You have DH putting out like 10k dps with 4 buttons, BM hunters doing the same in 3 buttons.
But then you only have 1 viable healer, a holy priest…. All others can’t heal fast enough due to the burst and gcd.
Anyone who didn’t make duelist gear and 4 set already a month into the season has been dusted so far in the ladder it’s not even funny. 0 fun = people just doing anything else
But all this stuff will get balanced right? so people are quitting before blizzard makes the changes. I agree if u arent a hpriest you have far far less room to make mistakes right now as I dont think anyone has the throughput that they do but I believe with good team play you can still make it work. I saw cdew serenity for 107k, the clip is floating around you can see it. They just need to tune all healers like that. As far as everything else, DHs and Hunters are still beatable.
I understand your point about the tier. But if people quit it will just take them longer to catch up once the catalyst comes out next week.
I feel like 80% of the other Rogues I queued into in 2s had 2pc or 4pc
Between gear disparities and general deflation I don’t blame anybody chilling for a bit, especially when there haven’t been many tuning passes, they generally make qol tweaks down the road, etc, etc.
Part of the problem is that people have been playing the game long enough to recognize that blizzard WON’T be making changes. They won’t be balancing - at least not enough nor in a timely manner.
It’s been the recurring cycle every single patch the past few expansions when you have glaring outliers. Potential issues are pointed out and communicated early but they are either ignored for PVE reasons or not heard at all. And if they do make it a fix, it won’t be until a patch or two later. People don’t want to wait half a year or more to have the game be playable - so they just stop playing.
painfully accurate. expansions are beta tests until the last 6 months of the expansion when they finally break and listen to what the players have been asking for for the entire e xpansion and its fun and prepatch comes making everything pointless and broken rinse repeat
The season started March 1st, are you telling me its difficult for people to reach 2k at this point, six weeks into the season? im asking because I dont know how the ladder works and the time frame of things.
The primary problem is the variables outside of peoples’ control.
Some have been very lucky with tier. Others haven’t.
If two 2k players capped their weekly vault each week, and one got his 2/4pc and the other has gotten nothing, the other player quits at worst and at best is motivated to not play until he can craft his tier.
Yes, it’s still possible to hit 2k with skillful play outside of having tier, but the reality is the game is currently designed in such a way as to demoralize a large segment of its player base because of the RNG elements in pvp gearing
Compared to the end of last season, or even halfway through it? Yes it is way harder to hit 2k now then it was then. To give yourself an idea of how big inflation happened over the course of last season, go look at how much the R1 cutoff increased over time
Everybody is at least a few hundred lower, yeah, although at the very bottom end you do kind of run into the point where you don’t drop further unless you’ve got a super mega bricked winrate.
