Demon Hunters have it - why can’t engineers make rocket packs, tailors make parachutes, etc.?
Let me collect different appearances like the mount system and give classes other than Demon Hunter improved mobility.

DH class signature is their high mobility. You can glide and jump higher (with a CD) using engineering items (glider and rocket boots enchant).

I know, but after playing DH for so long I find all other races boring to move around with.
If I could heirloom a rocket pack and pickup different appearances for it that would be a totally new layer of rewards for me to chase after.
DH can have their signature movements while the other stuff has to be earned by other races.

I don’t even understand this post. Engineers make rocket boots and glider kits. There are toys for gliding and jumping. What does that have to do with a Hero Class signature ability? And when you can do the same things with toys and crafted things, I fail to see the point of this.
Am I the only one confused?
I don’t see why Blizzard should continue to limit every other races’ mobility because of racial abilities for one race.
But I do appreciate Panoptes response.
Priest speed boost and levitate, Mage blink and slow fall, Druid dash, stealth and less fall damage, rogue sprint, stealth and less fall damage… do we need to keep going?
The toys don’t function like the DH’s ability. Play a DH for awhile- you’ll see.

Just because DHs’ have something exclusive doesn’t mean everyone else is being limited.
If that is the case; i feel extremely limited and oppressed by only having 2 specs while every other class has 3…

Ooh! Or give DHs Affliction and make it a healing through DPS spec! The dots and soul drain heal everyone! Rift had something similar that was a blast to play. Defiler. They were both damage mitigation and healers through DPS. It was pretty sweet.

Just because you’ve become accustomed to high mobility doesn’t mean that it has to be given to all races. I want this to remain unique to DH’s. You have gliders available for everything else.

By this logic, we should just have all the classes have maximum mobility so no one has any identity. I played a rogue for a long time but didn’t demand that every class have perma stealth too …

Talking about other racial abilities aside from DH shouldn’t prevent us from considering Double Jump + Glide as a feature that could improve gameplay for all races.
Give DH’s something else if you have to if that is what it takes to open the door to every race getting double jump + glide.
Going from DH to any other race is painfully different from a mobility perspective. It shouldn’t feel that way.
Double jump, Glide and Fel Rush!
Or we could just keep double jump + glide as a Demon Hunter thing.
