Has anyone received this mount not from Arachnoid Harvester? The dungeon journal lists it as Mechagon, no rare associated, same as the Dune Scavenger, Leaping Veinseeker and Goldenmane.
There are two reports of this thing dropping not from the spider. Could it be the same as the other mounts that it can drop from mobs? Or given the report is that the mount dropped from the reclamation rig, could it drop from other limited sources?
Pretty sure I got it from the harvester. I’d have rather had the wheel, but it’s still cool.
I got the wheel in like 5 tries, been killing the spider now upwards of 12 times a day with a combination of WM on and off and alternate timeline WM on and off. Some comments state over a thousand attempts, that’s a long time.
But than there is that one comment where someone got it from the rec rig and the listing in the journal, makes me wonder since they have multiple mounts that can drop from specific sources in a certain zone.
That’s another one I got incredibly lucky with… dropped for me off the spider in like, maybe 5 kills 
The wheel off Rustfeather was a bit more, closer to 80.
this dropped for me from the harvester - the only reason i remember it well is because it was early on in mechagon when you could still find groups listed and when i zoned in, it was almost dead - one hit in.
It’s from the harvestor. Got mine from there and seen everyone else get their’s from it too.
If you ever have a question with drops use the all the things addon, and/or join the discord community. Way better info on where stuff is from than wowhead.
The rig was only a source of the vinyl and mechagon-minis box as long term rng grinds.
Not everyone contributes to the addon or the discord community, I came here to see if there is anyone not a part of that community who might have gotten it elsewhere.

That’s the same issue, not everyone contributes to that. It’s the same as Wowhead, not everyone uses the uploader so you don’t actually know 100%.
That’s not how that site works…
This sort of post strikes me as lashing out against rng by trying to find alt ways to get something (and being distrustful of established info).

The mount drops from the arachnoid harvester only just like the rusty wheel only drops from rustfeather.
They were lying or mistaken. It only drops off the harvester.
Than how does that site work? Because Blizzard never tell us anything, it’s all information obtained from the community.
So how did some get it from the rec rig? And why is it not listed in the journal as dropping from a specific mob? It just seems very strange that it is listed in the same way as other zone wide mounts, makes you wonder if the rec rig really does drop it or some other thing you can do triggers the mount to drop.
Cause they are unreliable witnesses. I’ve seen people during bfa rolling around with upgrade items for essences in bags (or bank) wondering why they can’t get the next level. Or wondering why they keep on getting repeat conduits from world quests.
It’s cause they don’t manage their bags and then erroneously attribute things to certain events.
Seems likely, I wonder why it’s listed how it is when it drops from a certain mob.
Spend some time poking through the mount journal and you’ll notice that nearly all of the Shadowlands mounts are listed that way, despite having specific drop locations or criteria. Maybe they just started early with that in BfA with the mechanocrawler.
There’s no other way to get it. Keep farming the harvester.
Also it can be argued that too much info ruins the fun of just doing the zone without focus. Know where everything is and then you turn it into a game of numbers and time obligations.
Hence why blizzard likely left it ambiguous in the journal of the exact source.
This happens anyway and you know it. I would agree with you if the drop rate on this and many other items were not Star Wars waste compactor level tiers of garbage. Honestly 0.39% reported drop rate, for a mount that is a reskin of 2 other mounts that I almost certainly won’t even use, which is now also an expansion old.
The feeling I get when looking at their drop data is that it feels like they are using an addon that tells them what dropped from the group of mobs they killed. And if they were to click a trash mob to loot, it would tell them that thing dropped off the trash mob.
Yeah that’s how people play the game these days. Knowing everything in order to minimize failure and wasted time. And to them that is fun. But then that comes with the behavior that people play this game these days for objective-oriented reasons rather than subjective.
