Do you stay in Legion content until 111? Or do you go to either Kul Tiras or Zandalar? If the latter, which zone do you prefer to start questing?
Legion until 111. Then drustvar if it’s not a lagfest.
When I hit 110 I go to Boralus and start leveling to 120 in Drustvar due to all the quests there and en up at around 116, then Stormsong for just the main story line to end up around 118 and finally Boralus just the main story line to end at 120
I stay in Legion till 120 if I can.
BFA’s so-called Pretty Husk of a content is miserable compared to hearing “ROK SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH” again and again.
Tirisgarde Sound because it’s pretty and then Drustvar to finish.
Vol’dun / Zuldazar on horde. Nazmir was cool the first time but is horrible to level in. Same with Stormsong.
I spam islands, can’t be bothered to do much of BFA zones.
I went to Zandalar on this guy and kept my alliance guy on the Broken Isles to finish the class hall and farm rep for the allied races.
He stayed there until 117, finished the paladin hall, got the mounts and hit exalted w/ all the factions except the two from argus and the weird wizard fisherman.
The xp drop was drastic at 111 and progressively got worse as time went on. Xp from quests stayed pretty decent though.
I used to go to Drustvar or Voldun, but now it’s hit 110 and wait for the next timewalking event.
(I’m binging on leveling this week).
I mostly level through Islands. Its slightly faster and you have the tiny chance at cool rewards.
I got right away to drustvar, because you have to do story line stuff to open flight points.
Freehold.
I really wish they would change this. I feel bad choosing the other zones because of it. On horde side you have to do almost the entirety of the main Nazmir storyline to get the far eastern FP, but at least it’s not as useful as the Drustvar ones.
Nazmir for the goblin flight path quest. It doesn’t unlock with that map you can buy for alts.
Drustvar and the war campaign get me to 120 with ease.
Typically start in voldun and work clockwise. The BfA leveling experience has been a real drag though, so I’m thinking about trying IE’s and TW’ing as alternatives.
I feel ya. I don’t hate it too much though. I did every single quest I could find in all three zones on my main, and on my alts I just try to get to 120 otherwise I get bored. It would be nice to have a little bit of a different path to leveling, but then again 110 to 120 is pretty fast.
I am actually discovering that without Artifact weapon leveling and Legiondaries… Legion leveling content is some of the worst. The stories are horrible… my last character I leveled through Legion did it 100% through invasions and that’s the first time I’ve ever not quested through a character.
Timewalking is definitely the way to go, especially if you’re a healer or tank. With 1 minute healer queues I’ve been taking characters 110-120 in about 3 hours this week.
The best thing about TW, aside from the speed, is that you don’t have to experience the horrendous power scaling that happens in BfA leveling. Everything is scaled to old power levels so you feel consistent the whole time.
After my 9th or 10th 120 … I wait for timewalking and blow through dungeons for fast easy exp, with the added perk of collecting people’s unneeded gear for when I ding 120 to give me a good bump in the right direction.
Thanks, that’s good to know. Are those leveling times with or without heirlooms?
