Where do you draw the line?

And yet you’re so insistent on simping for FF14.

I already left. I’m just back to troll the forums.

The only thing that would bring me back to the game at this point is free gear. And I don’t mean a 230 piece. I mean a full set of free mythic+ RAID gear with sockets, ideal conduits, legendary, and some nice tertiaries, all guaranteed within at most two weeks of playing (which is only 20 hours for my schedule).

You know, I’m fine not getting that on day one of a new season. But for a 0.5 patch? There’s still no catching up and that’s the problem. At one time, the philosophy was that me and my tiny 10 hour a week plan would eventually match someone who has a raidlog to optimize their playtime, just by using the random queue system. But they decided that playing their game casually was bad, and anyone who had fun instead of “worked” didn’t deserve to play-- go play the dress-up/pokemon battler instead… So I have moved on to other games (and mad I waited as long as I did – Guild Wars 2 has been fantastic, New World is an awesome change of pace, and I didn’t even mention FFXIV).

Before I quit, I would see trolls posting “entitled people just want free gear” and I used to waffle – that isn’t what I wanted back then. I just wanted a shot. I wanted to be able to queue after queue after queue and fail and fail and fail, and maybe eventually have a shot to succeed. And after enough Ws were behind me, have a decent character. But I don’t have 45+ minutes to waste in a queue, to not play, finally if I get a group, after one bad pull before the last boss, someone bails and wastes the key, all progress in the dungeon (and the queue time too).

So yeah, now I’m brazenly happy to say the game sucks until I’m given free gear for my $15 a month.

Auto quit would be when [not saying if 'cause I know this is coming] - them and dasnoozer pandering to societal norms some more. But my quitting moment is soon cause I guess I ain’t cut out for azeroth and the mmo world. :walking_man: :earth_americas:

I’m giving it till next expansion, if it follows the same pattern of multiple system grinds, will hang it up

If the idiots who are going after Succubi get their way I’ll be considering going elsewhere. I love demons and removing established lore creatures like that would be ridiculous, especially when it’s a race of demon that is completely ruled by women.

My line is when I stop having fun playing WoW or no longer can afford the sub fee. I’m not into appearances and any current changes due to the lawsuit don’t affect me one bit.

I feel Shadowlands as brought me to that breakpoint line in many different ways, yet I still remain…

For me the end will come when…

  • Their current crusade gets directed at the players. Do not take away our choices in how we represent our character. We should have more not less.

  • They remove flying or go back to making it a year plus to achieve.

  • The next expansion has even more systems and Blizzard tries to again sell it as “content.”

  • I finally find another game that can keep my interest the way WoW did before the current Dev & Writing Team took over.

Its hard to say as much as I love this game and have stood by my promise to leave forever if Sylvanas ever dies, the weird form of self censorship of stuff not a single person in the world cared and the fact there doesn’t seem to be an end to what they will change.

I guess i would have to say when it effects something I use or do or love lore wise. When i love I like to use skimpy outfits until reaching max level and going on to either a new set or a set I’ve been using for 12ish years if not longer on some toons.

I’m sure there is something I cant think of because its something no one believes could be changed that would do it not only for me but another large percentage

The game is good.

Purchasing the game is hell for many.

Absolutely this. It’s a shame the popular sexy armor has not been updated because it looks terrible up close (like all Vanilla-WOTLK armor). It’s also a shame we haven’t seen new renditions.

Regardless if they touch any of the sexymogs I’m done with this garbage company for good.

I’ll add this. If the next expac has some disgusting, convoluted, asinine leggo or covenant system in-place I will not be purchasing it.

What game?

FF. I already play it, so I’ll basically just save money from cutting one MMO out.

For me that line is quickly coming. However, it’s not going to be just about the changes that cater to the cancel culture. It’s also about how the overall game design has been becoming less and less fun - things like the absurd borrowed power systems, arbitrarily long waits on being able to fly every dang expansion (I’d use a much stronger word than dang if I could), AP grinds…

I doubt it’ll be one big thing for me that gets me to finally to quit, but rather many small and annoying things that keep piling up until I get to the breaking point. Less of a line-in-the-sand scenario and more of a straw-that-broke-the-camel’s-back scenario.

anyways my line has already been crossed.

Honest answer…

  1. Subscription is doubled
  2. They removed achievements
  3. Increased the graphic requirements each expansion to whatever is top of the line as in tomorrow 9.2 came out requiring similar requirements like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on optimal.

Stuff like blood elves wearing burkas and we can only talk via Walmart smiley faces or deleting the names and places and dialogue isn’t going to bother me.

I don’t want to spend a lot of money on this game. I pay the 6 month for an overall reduced cost. I want to play on my 3 year old laptop. I don’t buy carries, gold, nor do I pay to watch streamers.

I don’t buy boosts. Only things I have bought are a few mounts and character transfers.

If Disney really took ownership of this game~

Personally, I would stop after removing the NPCs honoring the devs that participated in the actions mentioned in the lawsuit. I think anything beyond that is overkill. Just my opinion.

I’m just curious, why do you hold Sylvannas in such high reguard?

i dont draw the line, but i do move the lines around when its convenient for me
Sylvanas did nothing wrong

Shes the last character i like from warcraft 3.
I always hated the night elfs aside from Illidan.
thrall was so disappointing in legion and then again in bfa.
We killed Kael’thas Sunstrider.
Arthas was the only interesting human who didn’t fall under the goodie goodie category even as a kid I hated those kind of characters
I liked the Tauren in WC3 but anything interesting about them isn’t included in game or removed like what would have made baine a good character
No important lore goblins or gnomes
Dwarfs are cool my first toon was a dwarf hunter.

So shes the last person left I liked still trying to win by any means necessary when you boil the goals down to the bottom line.

Thrall became green Jesus by being too important which I didn’t mind i loved thrall. He then becomes powerless because we need his hammer and then useless until a pep talk from his mom

Illidan is gone for a few expacs

Everyone else is still dead and gone
