Where do I go to continue the story/campaign (patch content) for MoP?

I’ve just completed Pandaria’s main storyline (Patch 5.0), ending with the Dread Wastes and just made it into the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, where there are a large number of daily quests.

Now the game doesn’t give me any hint as to where I should go to continue the campaign/patch content.

In other words, where do I go to begin 5.1? 5.2? 5.3? etc.? ultimately leading to the siege of orgrimmar.

Any help is appreciated.

Unfortunately, the questline that linked all of the patches together (the legendary questline) has been removed at this point.

What remains in the game:

5.1: The Krasarang Wilds questline, which starts with “Meet the Scout” at the Alliance shrine
5.2: The Isle of Thunder questline, which starts with “Thunder Calls” at the Alliance shrine

The 5.3 content is mostly gone at this point, and 5.4 didn’t really have any quest content other than some dailies on the Timeless Isle. You might also want to do the scenarios at the Seat of Knowledge, as some of those have story details.

5.0: Theramore’s Fall
5.1: Dagger in the Dark, Lion’s Landing, Domination Point, A Little Patience
5.3: Blood in the Snow, Dark Heart of Pandaria, Battle on the High Seas, Secrets of Ragefire

The other scenarios are mostly fluff.

It’s also probably worth pointing out that the 5.1 questline is timegated—the quests are locked behind Operation: Shieldwall rep. You’ll eventually run out of quests, and will need to do dailies until you can do the next quest step. The final quest is at Exalted.

This is not true for the Isle of Thunder, which you can do in its entirety without any Kirin Tor Offensive rep.

Also, it’s probably worth watching the patch trailers (they’re on the World of Warcraft Youtube account). The reason why the Vale was corrupted was never shown in-game—it’s in the 5.4 trailer.

Ugh. I don’t like the idea of reputation-locked questlines, especially if it concerns the primary storyline. Thanks regardless. You’ve clarified many of my concerns.

That was actually a pretty good cutscene all things considered. I’d argue better than the finale one.

When they revamp leveling in Shadowlands, they should really fix questing so the continent stories aren’t sheared to shreds.

It’s a shame they did that. I get that they wanted the legendary cape to be something special for the players who did it at the time, but the questline itself had some pretty important lore to it.

I can’t cry too much about the lack of robo-cat, but it is weird to think that an entire patch’s world content is simply gone.

Given that that patch was only for a cloak that’s not meant to be available any more, it’s not unusual.

The patch for t he original Gate War is gone. as is the material for the Mage Quests in Legion as those quests would be too easy for BFA players.

Garrosh’s Kor’kron are still in the Northern Barrens. I’m not sure why though.

I believe you can still kill them for a chance at some battle pets or something.
