I would follow the ping over the faction. You are only gimping yourself by accepting a higher ping for cosmetics.
true but I’ve never noticed a difference in pings playing west or east, and I live in east 
only real difference is the 3 hour shift.
I get about 20-30 more ping on Whitemane Hub than I do on Mankrik. I’ve seen it as high as 40 more ping difference. Still playable yep, just not as smooth.

i tested east at 43ms and west at 67ms

Unless things have changed since original Classic, east coast is housed in Chicago, so it’s actually Central.
That’s interesting. I’m east and I get 30ms to east and 80 to west.
might be cause we have 2 computers and sometimes 3 on wow
You probably use different routings and all it takes is some degraded hardware on the way to slow someone down more than another. Also you could be in Florida and he could be in Maine.
Not much to back up that claim but I can assure you both factions on both servers will be packed.
