Having trouble finding much concrete documentation on where you can get these. I was out farming dirt piles and expedition packs and I got one… problem is I can’t remember if it was from a pack or dirt.
Same here but bro got ten and he’s just started I feel pretty bad right now. 
I got 0 from them and the dirt.

I don’t buy this… the more I farm the more I’m betting it’s time gated to one a week per char or something like that. Unless he means 10 on 10 chars then sure.

60 dirt piles, about 15 scout packs in the last hour and nothing for me.

Probably a dumb question but you completed your 5th and unlocked the ability to loot them right?
oh yeah. after unlocking on 2 characters, I did everything that rewards a purple goodie box, killed some rares, cleared a few wings in LFR and nothing on either character

Yeah. If somebody got 10 to drop in the last 2 days its likely either an exploit or a bug.

another 50 dirt piles and still no spark. I’ve gone back to the maiden 3 times to make sure I wasn’t missing something and she still says I’ll find them from time to time doing various things.

According to WoWhead, the drop rate is supposed to be like Legion legendaries…which would mean 1 or 2 a month if you are lucky.
“however, they are meant to be rare. Finding Sparks are comparable to the old Legion Legendary system to those who are familiar.”

I was going from what he told me I have no idea how,maybe he’s lucky but he’s my bro so I take his word to be true. I finally got just one by doing the quest to open it.
Btw, if you think he’s exploiting,that’s on you.
I’ve gotten 4 sparks total from dirt and heroic bosses on Tuesday.

I got one spark drop, from a +13 dungeon chest.
I’ve used my 6 sparks on 2 PVP embellishments, 2 jewelry embellishments, and 2 tinker sockets. Feeling pretty complete.
Haven’t seen a single one drop since completing the unlock. If they went the legion legendary route, we might as well forget they exist. I got more leggos from Legion after the expansion was over than during it.

They come from anything and everything now, but their low RNG drop chances cause as always bad RNG always ='s fun right? Done several keys, killed rares, done events and killed raid bosses and no drop, while others seem to have them raining from the sky for them.

this is beyond frustrating. I don’t do mythics or raid above LFR but since Tuesday I’ve done everything this game offers for a week. Including 160+ dirt piles mixed in with scout packs, rares, world quests and haven’t seen a single one. person a few posts earlier said they’ve gotten 4. that ain’t right.

Done all weekly’s.
2 raid bosses (M).
2 or 3 M+
Killed about 14 rares.
Farmed expedition scout packs and dirt piles for roughly 9 hours so far, hundred or so opened.
0 sparks so far. Will update if I find any.
It’s more likely he’s exaggerating. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.

I asked the question on the wowhead comments if the person got 2 on the same char and they said yes. 2 or 10 I guess it doesn’t really matter, I just wanted to know if it was possible to get 2 in the same week because I want to craft one more item. Thanks all.

Loose dirt of all places. I think it follows the same logic as legion legendary drops.
Ive done over 200 dirt piles yesterday and about 80 expo packs x4 m+ dungeons and gotten nothing at all.
