“We 3-chested a key”
I take this to mean a key was +3’d but I don’t understand why it’s referred to as “Chested”?

Might’ve been a time where there were greater rewards for +3 on a key
Loot chest. Treasure chest.
you used to get more loot chests the faster you completed the key
Ok I see. So it’s just a holdover term from earlier m+ days? I still see it used even to this day.
If you timed it to the max in Legion you got 3 chests and +3.
yeah, it stuck and it rolls off the tongue a bit better than “we plus two-ed it” though you’ll hear that some also
Legion.
You literally had extra loot chests instead of 1 chest at the end.
something some kinky guy thought up.
This led to a peculiar google search…

+3 is confusing because people will think you mean key level. There used to be multiple chest rewards for doing the dungeon quickly, people just kept that term.
