where did my disc dps buttons go?

Hah, good riddance. I just came back to Disc. Last time I played it you had to press Schism and 5 buttons before you could start healing.
Anyway Schism happens after Mind Blast automatically now. Penance becomes a Shadow spell I guess? You Smite until Pen becomes Shadow, then use that and then can use Mind Blast for burst healing and then Bender for big heal events. I’m liking it so far.
I played a lot of Whitemane in Heroes of the Storm, I’m pretty sure that’s where they got the design for current Disc, Disc plays identical to her now.
Whitemane is actually insanely higher skill ceiling though because it’s a PVP game. You have to be able to anticipate who to be juggling Atonements on early. You can’t be getting CCed without Atonements already out. In WoW you kinda can just blanket Atone everyone constantly with Renew.
In DF they streamlined disc significantly. Most of the old rotation is still there but a lot of it is tied into other spells. Mind blast applies schism. Mind bender activates shadow covenant.
It’s a much tighter set up. Though if you’re coming back to it after time away it’s definitely a shock.
