I ended up getting both my Series X and PS5 from Gamestop. If you sign up to be notified, they’ll give a heads-up email a bit before they go live on the site. I think they have a queue you get put into IIRC; I got the Series X the first time around, but the PS5 was on the third go around.
If you sign up for a PSN account and opt-in to the notifications/lottery/whatever it is, I think you get an email from Sony Direct before the virtual queue opens for general public. A couple of people I know got the PS5 that way.
Ruined the Tcg market too. Can’t find Pokémon cards anywhere, target and Walmart just straight up quit stocking them lol

Sorry but it’s been show numerous times scalpers are not the issue. There is a massive shortage for GPU’s in the tech market because of a shortage of some kind of micro transistor. It also doesn’t help that crypto miners are buying up GPU’s like crazy as well. It’s just a big tech shortage all around. Even car manufacturers are having issues because they can’t get the parts for on board ECM’s. Wish everyone would stop blaming scalpers its literally only a fraction of a problem occurring for everything in tech across the board right now.

What a copout. This kind of stuff has happened in the past when there wasn’t any shortages & it’s going to happen in the future. All it is, is greedy people who are just trying to screw over some panicky person who has the FOMO. Scalpers aren’t 100% to blame that I agree, but they deserve a good percentage of it because they are just dishonest people. I honestly & genuinely hope a bunch of them never sell their stock & get completely screwed over finically & lose stuff they own cause of it. it’s what they deserve.

I wouldnt say its crap. Consoles are getting pretty powerful this gen, and for the price (retail), the hardware is practically a steal.
Yeah, sure it is that easy huh? I guess you should be re-selling them since it is so easy for you to get them. The stores don’t allow stock tracking of them anymore.
