Hunters got 20% nerf, rogues should be nerfed the same.

They are squishy and melee they arent shooting pea shooters from 200 yards away doing infinite dmg
pve dps rogue did just receive 2 nerfs a week ago ish, about 400 dps worth.

war mage and hunter have dominated sod phases 1-4. rogs definitely had its shine here and there but they never finish top. they alrdy got giga nerfed but now saber is pullin up. i dont think classes like war, hunter, mage and rog will ever be D tier dps tho like you want them to be bc they aren’t hybrids
Rogues were better than hunters in P1, P3, P4 and now P5 ptr. Not an opinion but facts, go look at the logs. This is at all percentiles and high percentiles. Crazy how many people have this misconstrued idea that hunters have been top dps. They have never been top dps any phase besides for the first week where they are then swiftly nerfed.
You mean its mut, and its the best pve spec?
Thats literally their rotation.
They use rupture to maintain carnage rune.
They maintain slice and dice for attack speed for poisons.
They use poisoned knife for 100% off hand damage and 25 energy return making it free, it also procs the poison.
They mutiliate for combo points.
They envenom for filler.
Thats literally mutilate rotation.
So they are maintaining 2 buffs, carnage and slice and dice while using a 5 button rotation.
Rogues are better than the class that 1v1’d everyone else with their pets in phase 1? nice try. at most we beat them on the damage charts in phase 3 ST but even then hunters are still more oppressive in every other aspect of the game and can literally solo almost any non-raid content they want, people were even solo’ing ST adds with them in p3 for seeds. They even outclass mages now for level boosting. Can’t forget phase 4 explosive trap pre-nerf doing 70% of people’s hp bars on trigger w/ trap launcher and chimera shot 100-0’ing you in full pvp gear from 42 yards, they’re literally more broken than pre-nerfed boomkins and spriests in p2. Can’t think of any class that even comes close to still being so broken after being nerfed so many times besides shamans but still even they have more limits than hunters do. Not saying rogues are bad, they’re very good, but saying they’re better than hunters is crazy.
Rogues literally got a 40% damage nerf to muti at the start of phase 1, as well as further nerfs with removing the spell power scaling on envenom, I’d say those are harder nerfs than what hunters got. In case you were living under a rock, most rogues don’t use muti anymore because of the combination of saber getting buffed and how badly it got nerfed, meta is swords saber slash now and probably in phase 5 after eskhander’s right claw gets nerfed.
Meta is actually the fist weapon and saber slash.
Or go Mut still since they are really really close.
If you get fel striker you would go Mut, Mut is just a harder rotation.
This post was strictly referencing PVE, I don’t care about your diatribe about hunters in pvp. Rogues are also busted in pvp who cares. Logs have the proof rogues have been the stronger spec in PVE throughout sod. Rogues need to be dialed down in pve if hunters are getting huge pve nerfs while currently beneath them for what would become the 3rd phase in a row, it’s only fair.
wtf are you on about ? you realize warriors are legit #1 dps p4. not rogues. and before that it was hunters and rogues which both got fat nerfs. are rogues A±S tier? most definitely. do they need a nerf like you claim? nah. you are just a doomer whos hating on a class thats literally not even #1. its clear you have a bias. like its on your forehead brother
When combat and mutilate are close, combat always wins because combat ramps faster, it has “phase burst” from cds, and it also brings cleave.
Sin should always be a bit higher than combat on patchwerk, and if not, game is broken, and devs are clueless.
According to your own words hunters have dominated p1-p4 yet rogues have only “had its shine here and there” but have out dps’d hunters for 3 of the 4 phases. Rogues have dominated pve more than hunters have, check the logs all percentiles and at the top.
Saber slash is the same build as Mutilate, it’s literally the same talents.
It’s still assassination.
The spec you go depends on the weapon you get, the only difference between the specs is the runes and saber slash is the easier rotation because you don’t need to maintain rupture for carnage buff
