My sham can wreck any ret any time in a 1v1. Any sub in Classic can wreck a ret 1v1.
Find me a single ret anywhere in the world who can take out Pshero 1v1 in a fair and even fight. Not talking a fight where the ret comes in while Pshero is afk or just got done with a mob fight and is super low HP. Im talking worlds best ret vs Pshero.
Rets are so bad right now that even with they get the Legendary ax, they still will be near bottom in most content now.
Rets are terrible. About as bad as it gets. They are 20 out of 20 on many meters most times.
Least delusional ret player. Did they just forgot that since the rework they have been gods? Or is this just another ret player crying how heâs not one shotting bosses?
Suuuure, keep thinking that, all that âamazingâ utility will get you far.
Gods in what, your imagination? Ret was top DPS for one week after rework, then nerfed, and fell down a couple places and were one of the top 5 DPS for a month, after that they dropped to one of the bottom DPS for the 2nd tier and now here we are on the 3rd, once again bottom DPS. Gods must be pretty weak in your imagination.
I think the point heâs trying to make is youâre talking like youâre a world first mythic raider but youâre posting on a level 10 instead of your ret and you arent/havent posted anything to show your skill, which from what it looks like they asked for at least a couple times.
Calling out on others claiming ret is fine doesnât make me a world first raider.

As you can see itâs the same name i have on this char and there is only 1 paladin that has this name, so itâs not like iâm hiding.
Okay so now that we have established that - why are you complaining about ret when itâs clear you are a prime example that rets can and do excel?
From your parses you seem to do anywhere between very high above average and have several times gotten top 5% or higher in performance. What is the issue?
Trust me when I say I get the idea that âjust because I am good with X class doesnât mean X class is goodâ I make this same argument with Elemental.
But Ret doesnât suffer the same issue. Itâs easy to be âpretty goodâ with ret, and its easy to be âreally goodâ with ret, and while I dont have your gear (or likely the drive to improve) I would bet itâs easier to be excellent with ret than it is with say - elemental.
Ret might not be perfect right now, but itâs in a much better place than a lot of specs, and when you look at dps rankings I would be willing to bet youâre only looking at those 95% parses and not the class as a whole.

When you look at how a class is doing you need to see itâs potential, where it caps out.
Anyone can go and hop on anything and get blue parses at 50%, so itâs irrelevant to balance on that.
Also funny that you should mention elemental, when itâs near the TOP of the meters.
What needs to be balanced is how well a spec can do relative to other specs.
Ret is the only DPS spec of the paladin class, if i want to DPS i canât just switch to another spec of the class, cause there is none, so the spec itself must do good dmg, not be last.
There are easy builds for every class, and then there are good builds for every class. Sometimes those things overlap and you get BM hunters who are the most brain dead spec who just blast.
