Where are the Melee players at? This caster meta Sucks or Dead game?

I haven’t PVP’d much this season because it’s Dead and Frost Mage makes me Cringe.

I played 10 SOLO shuffle games, and there’s ZERO melee. Always TRIPLE caster VS me.

3v3 I’m playing Spriest/War it’s my favorite comp on war. Again, There’s ZERO MELEE queuing.

FROST mage Devastation - This game LASTED 10 minutes I killed the mage cuz their disc priest ran out of mana.

No one is playing melee cleave cuz you can’t play the game.

Usually there are more melees playing even when it’s caster meta. That’s just the way it is - probably these classes have more general appeal. At least this has been the case in the last expansion or two.

Now, however, it’s caster caster meta. Never seen a season like this before.

Warrior is solid, feral and rogue are obviously great, and enhance is good, but every other melee is severely undertuned atm and needs buffs.

Being the only melee in a caster lobby is pure suffering. I look forward to seeing you out there, though brother.

I wouldn’t mind playing on my WW more if Mages didn’t have just insane passive slows with the Chill effect just never dropping off. Kind of obnoxious mechanic.

Not gonna lie Frost Mage is probably the most annoying class in the game with almost every ability just applying passive slows. Like all of their damaging abilities apply 60+% slows to the targets just by them doing some form of damage. I dunno how my character isn’t perma walking at 80% slow for 100% of the match…well maybe I am.

This is probably the worst I’ve experienced on my WW. Lobby was Aff lock, Frost Mage, Spriest. I felt like I was perma slowed the entire match between the Aff locks Exhaustion curse just perpetually staying on me due to the DoTs ticking the curses timer back up and the Chill effects from the Frost Mage just being applied by their passive damage.

Frost mage Devastation is like CANCEROUS. YOU can’t TOUCH THAT COMP. they have Infinite slow and infinite mobility.

I don’t know how people lose against melee with that comp HOW DO YOU LOSE?!

its p interesting how quickly you get to straight caster lobbies as a melee.

Sub 1800 its straight melee, between 1800-2100 it feels like its all casters, and anything above that is just a fotm dice roll

I agree with this 100%. There is a caster heavy cluster in the Rival I - Duelist range. They all think they’re the next Thomas Edison or Nikolas Tesla because they can shimmer sheep you or lasso you around a pillar.

There’s that threshold around like 2k where casters stop getting brute forced by bad melee targeting them and the dynamic shifts until melee adjust, yer. :dracthyr_a1:

i did a small push up to 2200 last night and youre right. in all my lobbys i played with two melee. one was a fury warr the other was an outlaw rogue every other lobby was full casters

Maybe because some casters got easier to play and do better overall. Like my mage I made, I only gotta cast CCs, the rest is on the move BM style.

its literally because dk is non existant so there is NOTHING to keep wizards in check. while melee have frost mage, dev, and for some reason, ele to just dumpster them every game.

hell, turbo cant even kill sp anymore as we saw in the awc

Melee need to be brought up to the level of casters. I vote for removing precog and making trinket for healers 2min again. Let’s start there.

Idk, bm hunter, feral, fury, and rogue all do a pretty good job of that.

fury only good into lock, and sp(not wizk ofc) but i agree with the rest
