What happened, one small nerf is all it took for the whole fotm feral population to fall off the cliff?

I still have my alt feral, I try feral every season 1, usually it’s too difficult to even fathom how to operate for me (I’m bad). But this season it was grossly simplified (still harder than my other 2 classes). But it’s playable and a really fun spec to play. (I’m still really bad at it). But I def a massive drop off of like 80% of the ferals went BM instantly.
Did two rss games yesterday and they are all there. First game bm aff feral, second game feral ww bm. Still bringing me to red hp the opener (mind you I have no gear)
No reason to play it right now. I have duelist, so I’ll play alts for their 1800 sets until the last 2 weeks when inflation is through the roof and make a last minute 2400 push.

We still out here. I think the recent buffs/nerfs brought a lot of classes closer together in power and the fotm rerollers are probably seeking/achieving the same success with less effort on other specs.

People no longer play the game for fun. Instead people play for bragging rights/titles/mounts. For this reason, people have no class loyalty and won’t play something if it’s bad because they are insecure. I actually respect people who cry about their class on the forums more than I do sweaty rerollers who know no shame.

Season is dead in general, all the that’s left are the stragglers with nothing else to play.
Not many people are even pushing for elite/glad because the tabard and the mount look like dookie.
Also, a lot of people have been rerolling BM for a minute now.
I play ret for fun, and I’ve never fotm rerolled. After I leveled my ret for the first time, it has always been my main.
With that said, yeah it’s pretty nuts how many people play whatever I’d OP. It just exacerbates the effects of an OP spec, since not only is it super strong, you also fight it almost every game.
Maybe they need to provide incentives for those sticking with a spec for multiple seasons.

My feral is sitting in all greens. Been playing assa rogue because it’s fun, dh and bm. All classes I play even when they’re not great. Que times are too long on bm. Dh they’re almost instant lol
I’m running into a ton of ferals in Shuffle at 2k MMR. Also in regular 3s last night every other match was against a Feral/X/Healer
They all sitting at the top with all the sps.

Working on my hunter now. Feral nerf is irrelevant but the rise of hpal makes it not fun. I used to think fotm is bad but as i find more meanings in other part of my life i use wow just to chill. No longer trying hard to get any rating goal, i just level the best spec, figure out how it works, win a few games, then move on to next form spec. It is pretty relaxing
I’m still MM because it’s the best spec regardless of balance.
I’m reporting this comment to the FBI surely it’s attributable to some kind of crime and punishment.
But the FBI are MM mains too, they shoot first and ask questions later.

It’s not fun to play trash specs. I was playing feral, aff hpal and now I’m playing fury and MW. It’s more fun to play multiple classes for me and I’ll just play which ones are strong(10 80s)
